It makes sense. Why? Giving it a 2WD mode for increased gas... err... diesel mileage. However this gain would be minimal since the front end is still forever connected. The only disconnect would be at the transfer case.

I'm not saying that this is it. Just makes sense is all.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I don't think that this makes sense, Milous said it would be useful for off-roading not on-roading. I don't think that we can guess it. Firstly the clues are not that helpful and secondly if this feature is not offered anywhere else how can we guess it if we don't even know that it exists? We would need to come up with the same idea as the developers of Jeep, really unlikely.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I know everyone is playing the guessing game with Milous's new hint lol.. But is Jeep changing the wheel styles for the 2014's? I remember they did with the 2008's. I have also seen the pics of the black wheels on all the spy shots.. any info??

There is a crazy amount of hype for this feature. There better be 5 women jumping out of the back to assist in rock navigation when I press this button or I'm going to be disappointed. ;-)

Hahaha..here's what I posted on page 94:

That's probably the reason why every additional hint so far made it harder and not easier.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

What abt "Selec-Wheel?"... A way for the DRIVER to send all the torque to a desired wheel when traction is an issue or whatever? I'd assume the logic in giving it a shot on a diesel first before streamlining it, is bc diesels tend to make peak torque at much lower rpms than gas engines, thus possibly less wheel spin?.. And if its something that doesnt work out on a diesel, then there's no point in trying it with the Hemi?.. It's a theory!

Be careful now what you wish for. Those 5 women might max out your GVWR.

I asked in a previous post if there were 2 tidbits or just one. Now I'm glad to hear that there's two separate bits of info because it makes more sense.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Remember, we're talking NEW technology.. If it sounds crazy, then that's bc it is! At least until it works and all the other brands jump on it. At which point it becomes just another option.
