That kinda makes me concerned. The QL stuff had huge issues so I hope they tested this new tidbit technology enough. On new technology, how many vehicles and how many miles do you think they test before they decide to go "live" with it?

Maybe if you order early enough you can drive the test car.

And if its something that doesnt work out on a diesel, then there's no point in trying it with the Hemi?.. It's a theory!
If that's what it is, I was first!

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

The rumored Ram 1500 3.0 crd and JGC crd will share the same engine, trans, tranfer case due to the cost of emissions testing and certification.

For this reason I believe the tidbit is related to the transfer case. The tranfer case will be efficient on the road yet capable of locking for off road.

This would be the best of both worlds.

I am sick and tired of clutch packs, traction control, brake limited slip ect. getting in the way of MOMENTUM. The US auto industry has been pussified.

Select-Drive
Three sequentially(individually) locking differentials like on the Mercedes G class SUV. No American company has it.

So...is anyone else who is trying to make an informed decision about what to buy....but doesn't have time to read 20 pages of hints and guesses every day...getting kind of annoyed? Or is it just me?

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I'm not ready to sell my 2011. It is a fantastic truck. But if the 2014 SRT looks like it should have then I will upgrade. Not worth paying another round of taxes for two MPG, an inch bigger screen and ebay tail lights alone. Now if the sex appeal is greatly enhanced that might be a different story. I'm just afraid they will Jack the appearance up rather than enhance it. I don't want a benz or a jeep that looks like a benz. More chrome and square exhaust ports will have me looking at extended warranties instead of dealers.

Just you. If it wasn't for this thread there would be very little information on the 2014 Grand Cherokee and you would actually have to wait for the official release from Chrysler before you can make your "informed" decision.
