The old body style chargers had the regular rt model as well as one with a red rt badge. The difference being that the one with the red RT badging was basically a SRT charger without the bigger motor. I wish they would come out with something like that for the Jeep. Especially now that we are a mear moments away from tuning capabilities.

That would be cool, but I would like it with more of a regular front bumper but completely painted and with air-suspension.

Come out with "Torque" limited edition of the CRD and I'm pre-ordering now!

Great forum btw, this will be my first Jeep, but my third diesel. I'm selling the M3 and the TDI to buy this car.

For me the Trailhawk (v8) is almost a perfect option package, I do want qt ll with elsd and air supension, the only thing missing imo is memory for the drivers seat and mirrors.
This would be even better.

Do we know if you can get the diesel with the Laredo? The OP says yes but http://www.wk2jeeps.com/wk2_2014_features.htm says no...

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Is Laredo CRD confirmed? Will it be with X only like the HEMI? In that case might as well go Limited.

Thanks for all the info, can't wait to get one of these.

What do you like and what don't you like about the diesel set up with the M3 and the TDI?
And, what about the Jeep CRD are you most looking forward to as you have some experience with diesels?

The M3 is just not practical any more for me since I moved to DC, I rarely get to floor it and the suspension is just too much for these roads. And it's 10 years old and doesn't have the amenities modern cars have that I didn't think I would care about but every time a drive a friend's newer car I wish I had the bluetooth and backup camera and the rest. The TDI is 13 years old and has over 230,000 mi, and while the engine is still running like new (after cleaning the carbon from the intake), the rest of the car is starting to fall apart.

I'm looking forward to great torque, diesel sound, decent MPG, it looks great, and I can finally stop worrying about dying if I hit a deer. Back in June I was going about 70 on the interstate in the M3 when a fully grown one jumped out of nowhere at the last second and I hit it head on. I got super lucky the car and the hood were so low and hit it at just the right angle that it took it's legs out and flipped it over the car. Airbags didn't go off and after checking for leaks I was able to drive away. No mechanical damage, but I did need a new hood, new quarter panel, new headlight, and bumper repair. It could have easily crashed into my windshield and possibly killed me. No thanks.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Some of the export models (Australia for example) will have a speed warning system (alert when exceeding speed limit).

For the 2013 SRT's the special models came out right away - production for the regular models started July 10 while the Alpine started August 21st and the Vapor Edition on October 1st.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Milous, do you know if there are plans to show the MY14 JGC at any of the upcoming car shows? Specifically I would be interested in the New England Int'l scheduled for January 2013. It would be nice to see both an Overland and SRT8 with all of the new equipment and trim.
