I think this is just chrome. This seems to be to much chrome for a regular overland, this must be a summit. I guess they will paint it for other models. It seems like our insiders do not want to comment!

What surprises me is that the bumper is not covered with the camo stickers.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

the two tone with rectangular exhaust is infact a summit. The regular overland will get colormatched wheel arches(similar to SRT) and front/rear bumper moldings and round exhaust tips. The Summit is going even further upscale.

Further upscale, that sounds interesting, does this also include the interior, I guess so, right? While I like the Overland rear better (it looks unchanged to me) I may need to make a compromise

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Did anyone ever figure out the "bright light" reference that Marlon made?

I think the flashlight they include is going to be a 600 lumen LED Streamlight or a Surefire flashlight. That qualifies as a VERY bright light.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

are the "bright light" a smart led that you can adjust the color of the lighting ie. warm, cool ,neutral or to a totally different color all together
or is is smart in the sense that it can adjust the output intensity based on the brightness outside

I believe someone [not me] got it right.

IIRC - license plate lights

They should have rear high lumen tail lights that you can blast the guy behind you who has his brights on while tailgating you.

Either that or an oil slick feature.

While the Summit-bumper has chrome on it as well, it's not entirely chrome. You can clearly see that the lower part of the Summit in this picture is painted in grey - so that's why I was assuming it will be the new "grey" that will be introduced for the MY14, Billet Silver:

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Is there any information or pictures that anyone has seen of the dash console (speedometer, RPM area) on the new model that isn't SRT?
