You could very well be right, or it could just be the lighting. But, it won't be too long before we start seeing them in person.

They haven't released what colors will be available for the different models.
All we know for sure is that powder puff blue and rugged brown are discontinued as well as I believe mineral gray and sparkley silver.

The wizard behind the curtain (Milous) will let us know as soon as he does.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

In case this was missed in the other thread...

Maybe it's time to make this very important announcement for anyone planning to purchase a 2014 WK2:

Not only will you NOT be able to install 2014 radios into prior models, you will NOT be able to upgrade/downgrade/change radios WITHIN the 2014 models themselves! That's right - for example, if you order a Laredo with the base radio (RA1 or RA2) you will NOT be able to upgrade it to a RA3 (optional nav) or RA4 (nav)! And if your vehicle comes with an RA3 you will NOT be able to upgrade it it to a RA4.

The 8.4" RA3 comes without navigation, and while navigation is an optional upgrade (via dealer), it will be spendy - AND the navigation features will NOT be as elite as they are on the RA4.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Thanks for clarifying as there were lots of questions about that. I'm getting a loaded something or other and I REQUIRE the navigation so I'm sure mine will have the RA4.

That's if I don't get the Hyundai Santa Fe instead. Still not sold yet on the 2014 CRD GC as I haven't gotten enough details yet.

Milous,

Is there going to be a subscription or anything to keep the maps updated on the the Navigation?

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I know you guys are saying the new SRT8 is super charged could it be a V6 Twin turbo.
Does this statement hold water.

The Pentastar engines are made in Trenton, Michigan and Saltillo, Mexico. The Saltillo plant is set to begin production in the 2012 model year (with parts machined in Toledo, Ohio).

Insiders initially reported that the engine would come in four basic sizes (3.0L, 3.3L, 3.6L, and 4.0L), each offered in various states of tune. The 4.0L has been dropped from the list and a 3.2L added, according to Allpar as of November 2008 and October 2010, respectively, while Fiat's investor website, as of Dec., 2011, specifies the 3.0L with Fiat's multi-air technology.[9] The 3.6 liter engine itself has different horsepower ratings in different vehicles, and has higher horsepower (305 hp) and torque (268 lb-ft) as used in the Dodge Challenger[10]

Twin and single turbocharged variants are planned for 2014. These engines are projected to produce around 420 and 370 horsepower respectively. Direct injection is also planned.[11]

Due to the new ownership structure, Fiat has obtained the right to use these engines, and currently adopt them in the larger models of Lancia and Fiat brands.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

As long as the base radio has Bluetooth and an Aux jack, I'll stick to my tablet (Android or IOS) and MiFi hotspot with cellphone (4G LTE is sweet) hotspot as backup. Have that in my '12 Laredo now & suspect prices will continue to drop. Pulls latest maps as needed plus a lot more.

Besides, I doubt if Torque will ever run on a factory radio.

Suspect the next generation will be BYOD.
