I used to work for UPS and when they got some of their delivery trucks with the automatics in them we tried to do a "Rockford Files" reverse to drive and drive to reverse. There was something that prevented us from getting the tranny to switch that quickly. Stupid safety mechanism!

Lmao.. This guy is hilarious. Lol

And hey man if you buy a damn Santa Fe, our deal is off! Lol.. Instead I'm gonna drink all your brews and send you a more "filtered" version after it passes through my kidneys and bladder!

Apparently, the previous auto transmissions provide "feedback" to the computer, but are not "controlled" by the computer. The 8sp seems to change this.

Sounds like your Jeep mechanic doesn't understand electronic transmissions. What you just said sounds like sumn from a Dubya speech. "You can feel and hear it?" Seriously??? Welcome to the 21st century automobile.. As stated, everything is controlled by the computer(s) now.. Whether you/we know it or not.

Wait, so are you "hinting" that the MY15 Grand Cherokee could get different engines?
