Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Makes sense.. If you notice in the pictures of the GC with gray/chrome grill on the headlights the tape is coming off. So the HL's aren't as small as first thought..

I think they covered up the DRL part on the headlights so it wasn't as obvious to oncoming traffic that it's a new model.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

@ Autoblog article

If this IS in fact the final production version...Eck! No thanks! I'll keep my 2012 Overland. I like the new headlights, but the new front fascia is ugly...they apparently think the front needs to look like a Compass and the rear-end needs to look like the Durango...Eck, again!! The current JGC is better looking than the Durango, IMO...if I wanted a Durango, I'd buy a Durango...same for the Compass.

Looks like the JGC just lost it's individuality. It's kinda like the Durango & Compass got jealous & ganged up for a beat-down on their older brother (JGC) and made sure to leave their mark before they were done, leaving the WK2 JGC scarred for life.

Definitely won't be buying the 2014 models...maybe a 2018 model, when it gets a new, hopefully better, design.

Take note...for anyone thinking about swapping out HL or TL assemblies for a pseudo-Lighting Update for the DIY'ers...looks like the designers made sure you won't be able to do so.

Lmao

This is exactly what I said when I saw it. HOWEVER, when you see the inside, you may reconsider.. But yes, overall I like the '13 better.

Oh my, that front end is a let down to me. Looks like I'll be getting a 2013 instead!

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Headlights look awesome!

Smiley face CompAss grille looks terrible, especially in grey.

Front bumper looks more crossover looking

Tail lights look awful. Too much.

I do see turn signals in the mirrors on the Laredo though.

Overall....meh.

Crd and 8 spd. But you won't get one because the front end is ever so slightly different? I like minivans.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I like everything but the grille, the current is just so much better. But I think if you paint it it will look ok.

However I think we have not seen a Summit yet. With all the chrome on the rear that we have seen on previous spy shots I think there is a chance that what is grey on the
laredo might also get a different look, eg chrome, on the summit.

I really do like the rear and the lower parts of the front and the head lights look really modern, quite cool.
