Not gonna happen.

*HOWEVER*

Pilot Builds for MY 2015 should be coming down real soon. :)

#11,958 ·
Pilot Build and production launch season is when I'm usually around in full force.

Thanks for the info!

Now...Is Parallel Parking actually confirmed for MY15 in the first place?

'Cause if there are no relevant updates scheduled for the MY15-launch in August 2014, I might as well go ahead and get a MY14 next May. I certainly don't want to wait an additional 3 months just to find out that nothing changed..:D

#11,963 ·
There will be some small changes/additions.

Now THAT is quite a long wait.:D

However, it would be interesting to know the launch date of the WL. It's obviously in 2016 as a MY17 - the question is, however, in which quarter of 2016?
It'll go by quickly.

#11,961 ·
Getting really close to that time... already.

Milous?

Thanks, Marlon! I guess I'll be waiting then. Scheduled launch, though, is indeed next August, correct?
No clue, actually. I would assume so. All I was told is that '14 was going to be a long model year, and 2015 will launch at a more "normal" time.

Kinda off topic, but I think that it's great that we can complain about having something as small a cupholder in the first place, because back in the day... um... there were none to complain about. :D

#11,972 ·
LOL We test drove a 2014 Pathfinder Platinum Premium yesterday (which we both like to fit our needs and could be had loaded for the same as a GC Limited, LuxII, RA4) and I had to laugh when I saw a total 8 cup holders in the 2nd row-3 on each door and 2 on the drop down armrest! >_<

Just curious as to where are the reliability issues? An ac that doesnt start when remote starting is not a reliability issue. Twist the knob when you get in. The programming of a new tranny is not a reliability issue. Sure there have been a few lemons...but in the grand scheme does not EVERY manufacturer have lemons? Are those not the main issues so far?

Trannys that wont shift past 2nd gear.

Dash lights and instruments gone berzerk.

Fail to start.

Quit while running.

AC failing to cool intermittently.

Leaky sunroof drains shorting electronics, flooding the subfloor.

Wheel shimmy, vibration at speed.

The forum is full of reports. I already ordered my CRD. I'm going to take the good with the bad since I have spare vehicles.

My point is that Chrysler needs to double down on reliability and add features later.

I don't think its an assembly issue...its an issue with the various components that are failing. These components are sourced items for the most part. The driveline and major mechanicals are not the issue. Unfortunately the various electronics control the driveline.

FYI-anytime my dealer has had my ChryCo vehicle for more than 1 service day...Ive gotten a free rental. Only vehicle i ever had for more than one day was my wifes 11 Durango to have the heads replaced.

Facebook update: Hi all, I am just cruising around town...Crash... some idiot just minding his own business driving in his own lane, going the speed limit, didn't go fast enough when my dumb ass was looking down to make this post...:):):)
Sorry, social integration in a car is a BAD idea. People have a hard enough time driving as is. Look at how bad people drive when texting. Wait, it is going to get worse. I think eventually the NTSB is going to ban a lot of this. It is coming.

well...unfortunately thats what the younger gen wants. Im not saying that you can cruise facebook or send tweets while driving. You guys are going overboard now...LOL. there will also be other advancements in the tech. used to control performance, driving characteristics etc. GC's are become more customizable...electronically. The entire industry is heading in this direction for the younger buyers. They want a car/truck/suv that they can integrate into their social, work and recreational enviroments. The next GC will do that....

They need jeepgarage.org as a homepage in the next gen. G.C. (WL).

I just wanna know how much fatter the WL is going to get. Each generation it seems (due to safety requirements) to be getting bigger outside, with less space inside... :(

Oh, and heavier.

#12,000 ·
There is a VERY strong movement to "lighten" the GC...especially the SRT to come more inline with luxury competition. You will see that with lighter aluminum and fibrous parts in the next GC.

I have a 2012 and the only problem I have is with the shocks (been replaced 4 times), but that's a whole other thread lol. Even with some of the horror stories I have read on the site about the 14 some of the new features are starting to appeal to me. I have always liked the new interiors on the 14. the exterior was a whole different story. I'm still not crazy about it but I have always liked the exterior of the 14' SRT's. with the updated first post about an Altitude model coming in March, it may sway me to get a 14. With the Altitude having blacked out components may give me the look I like and the tech I want. As for the reliability piece of the 14's, I think it was released too soon and they should have caught some of the bugs before letting it out of the door. The 14 is a great vehicle, I have faith in Jeep that they will get everything sorted out and fixed for the existing 14's that are problematic. whew long winded.

One of the cons of a site like this is you can get a false impression that a vehicle is plagued with issues and problems because the few that do occur get an enormous amount of attention. I've seen this happen over and over again on motorcycles as well... I imagine it happens to all pieces of technology and equipment good enough to gather a passionate following.

Don't get scared by those highly publicized rare issues... DO however be aware and vigilant. Just don't get wrapped around an axle about it. :p
