Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

naturally the dealer wants a sale. Real reason is the wait time here from ordering is presently 5 months on current models but you can't order a MY13 now. Dealers are starting to take (probably un-official) orders for My14. Gossip here is cars won't arrive until September but one dealer has suggested June-July. If one waits too long to get their name down they will be well down the list and will not see a car for a long time.

I understand what you mean. Because you aren't ordering yet, are they asking for money down to put your name on the list?

It has to be unofficial, bc the order banks haven't even opened yet. I'd get my name on that list, and keep up with Milous' posts abt when the banks officially open. By then you should see pics of an Overland, and worst case, you can cancel (the unofficial order) if you don't like it. Best case, you'll be at the top of your dealer's list!

I actually like chrome, unlike others on this site and was very disappointed with these latest spy pics. I actually loved the Summit grille which is not available in Australia. Yeah, sorry guys, I think it must be because of my age (64) and conservative background but to me Chrome adds class. So, Milous...any help on what to expect with an Overland. The overland is top of the range in Australia and has everything the Summit has.....except for that nice summit grille. ha ha.
Hi Webber, I am 61 and share your opinion. For me Black with Chrome is perfect! Hoping for an Overland to retain its chrome applications. Greetings!

I didn't realize it was an age thing. But, I'll be 63 by the time my '14 Overland rolls off the line and hope it has a little chrome. Maybe not the big chrome bumpers of the '50s Oldsmobiles, but some.

After I see pics I might order one for my wife.

My mom wants a GC as well. She is in love with my wifes '11 Overland but I told her to wait for the '14's. Her current car is a '08 GL550 and she is more impressed with the Jeep.

Thanks. I needed a laugh this morning after seeing the color list!

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

PMD G8 If your mom is in love with the 11 she better scope out the 13's and buy one now or show her the pics of the 14's. marlon and chevy have reiterated countless times that the front and rear we have seen in the spy photos are a done deal. granted we haven't seen an Overland or a summit if we have insight to what we have seen there will be just a little more chrome here and there. I dont see them offering a non smiley version on the Overland and no plastic gap in the headlights. As I just noticed a post by Milous the more rounded front end has to do with new pedestrian laws so its not going anywhere. Show your mother and wife the pics and let them choose if they want a 13' or 14'. I was thinking about trading up for the tech but the exterior changes have changed my thoughts. Maybe when they do a total redesign for the 2017 model year this will be much better incorporated and not rushed to meet new standards. I guess the gist is if your mom likes the current GC look she better pounce and get a 13 after you show her the 14's.

Granite Crystal Metallic. May not have the Jeep, but I'll still drop in and keep up with the news.
