The new headlamp is not the exact same as a 300, it only resembles it bc they have LEDS in them.

Can we attach hinges to them and mount Machine Guns behind them? Or will that be an option? Maybe mid year build option? Can Milous could confirm this?

I dont see them offering a non smiley version on the Overland and no plastic gap in the headlights. As I just noticed a post by Milous the more rounded front end has to do with new pedestrian laws so its not going anywhere. Show your mother and wife the pics and let them choose if they want a 13' or 14'. I was thinking about trading up for the tech but the exterior changes have changed my thoughts. Maybe when they do a total redesign for the 2017 model year this will be much better incorporated and not rushed to meet new standards. I guess the gist is if your mom likes the current GC look she better pounce and get a 13 after you show her the 14's.
I think she will be fine with it, she's really impressed with the overall package of the GJ's, the ride quality, quietness, ease of ingress/egress(you basically have to duck when getting in and out of her GL) and the design might grow on us after a while. Main reason for waiting for the '14's is the tech upgrades.

Yea, that's understandable for the tech upgrades, but I'm one of those people who is about looks LOL.

Ho ho ho hold on just a minute... MARLON said its a done deal. As far as I knew, we were still building final phase (S2) pilots, and although unlikely, things COULD change. Marlon's info earlier was news to me too! After snooping around when I came in, I'm under the impression that this is probably true. However, I will continue to be optimistic right along with you guys. I want the masses to be happy. Again, my posts were to bring the focus back to what we KNOW, and deal with the facts. And right now what we know is there is NOTHING tangible that substantiates ANY claim that the filler is temporary.

As for the rear of the Summit, I still haven't seen one without the squared exhaust, AND the covers on the lights. I wish I could catch one before the stupid covers go on, but haven't been able to. And I don't wanna get caught peeking under em! Lol.. So the Overland and Summit MAY have something different going on, but that's not likely either. Bc the SRT DOES have the filler pieces. Does that mean this is what'll be launched? Marlon says yes. I'm not gonna go that far, bc I'm not 100% sure, but probably.

I don't mean to keep beating a dead horse, but we gotta be clear ppl. There are 100s maybe even 1000s who read these posts and will never post/ask a question. So I just think we owe it to them to stay concise and on the same page is all.. Sorry if I'VE confused anyone in any of my posts. Again, if anything changes, you guys will be the first to know.

Ho ho ho? going all Santa on us there! You're right I am in no position to make a bold statement like that. You two have kept us well informed as I know I am also relatively new to Jeepgarage. I think my problem is, is that I had much higher hopes for the refresh on the exterior as I was thinking it would be equally on par with the bold tech upgrades. I know I have made the statement in the past I wouldn't trade for the tech upgrades but that idea changed. But that idea has passed and as other people have stated, it makes me love my 2012 even more.

It sure would kick ass! I know the colors mentioned aren't confirmed yet so there's hope that they will decide on better colors.

I'm still planning on getting a '14' b/c it'll be a vast improvement over what I have now (2010 GC) but I'm getting a little disappointed with some of the things I've seen.

My perfect vehicle would be like an Altitude blacked out edition, a bold orange type paint, with the new saddle/black interior (which is gone), diesel with the 8 speed and the upgraded radio/nav system, Is that too much to ask? I'd even take the new grill with that package and not complain. Thank you!
Of course it would include the case or two of beer that was promised me!

I actually like chrome, unlike others on this site and was very disappointed with these latest spy pics. I actually loved the Summit grille which is not available in Australia. Yeah, sorry guys, I think it must be because of my age (64) and conservative background but to me Chrome adds class. So, Milous...any help on what to expect with an Overland. The overland is top of the range in Australia and has everything the Summit has.....except for that nice summit grille. ha ha.
Keep in mind there was also tape on the lower fascia in those spy pics. The focus of conversation has been on the tape on the headlights, but there was also tape on the surround of the lower valence, so there may be some chrome down there.

That wasn't info. I was just being silly.

I still haven't seen anything recently with that "other" headlamp which fills up the gap!

I noticed that the other day and Milous confirmed it, I'm pretty sure....
