That color looks horrid. They should do a champagne color instead.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

One other thing I wanted to confirm. There's been mention of you guys being behind on production and some of the 2013 orders having to be fulfilled as 2014s. My question is, are these orders custom orders from people, or from dealers who are ordering more stock? Also, I think I asked this before but I want to make sure: if I place an order when the order banks open, am I just as likely, or am I less likely to have my Jeep delivered at the same time other dealers start first getting their 2014s in?

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Can't you go into the dealer a few days before and just have them order what you want with their initial order?

I wouldn't paint my toilet that color. That's insulting they would want to put that on a Grand Cherokee.

I think they're doing this as an inside joke and I think Milous is behind it just to get us going.

Probably not as you would need to put money down and probably sign some paperwork..

Not sure what the laws are in other states, but, in California, if you place a deposit for a vehicle order then change your mind and decide not to buy the car, I'm pretty sure the dealer still has to give you your deposit back. Not everyone knows this, and that's why some dealers still try to take a deposit, but the customer can still walk away and get his money back as long as he hasn't signed the contract. When I ordered my last two cars, the dealer didn't even ask for a deposit.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

What I was thinking was not to have the dealer order an extra car, but just let them know that if they order an xyz in blue with whatever, that you'll buy it when it comes in. If you weren't asking for something outlandish, they should not mind doing it.

Most state follow the UCC [Uniform Commercial Code] which would allow the dealer to keep some or all of the deposit if they incurred a loss in selling the car. The legit dealers will return the deposit to maintain their reputation ... If they have a good one.

In 2010 my wife and I went to a Ford dealership that we had done business with before and ordered a 2011 Edge Sport with no deposit. Salesman said it would be about 2 weeks before the order went into the system.

About 12 days later we test drove a Grand Cherokee. The next day I called the Ford salesman and canceled the order.

I actually like chrome, unlike others on this site and was very disappointed with these latest spy pics. I actually loved the Summit grille which is not available in Australia. Yeah, sorry guys, I think it must be because of my age (64) and conservative background but to me Chrome adds class. So, Milous...any help on what to expect with an Overland. The overland is top of the range in Australia and has everything the Summit has.....except for that nice summit grille. ha ha.
Hey Webber, who's your dealer, that sounds like quite a good deal.
