I've only had my 2012 SRT8 for 6 months, so can't afford to trade up. Do you think Mopar will eventually sell a S/C kit for existing 2012/13 SRT8s?

Lots of questions, but I'm trying to separate fact from fiction, and I really trust this site.

yeah...I here theres a thread on another site. All that is bullhocky. They are guessing and adding to what theyve read here. Their only source is this site and milous...nothing else,

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Wow this site has the latest news. Glad I joined it. So I would be able to buy a 2014 Jeep GC in Jan 2013? That would be interesting knowing about the 8 speed trans and the style refresh. I really like the 2011 - 2013 body style and hopefully they won't change it too much. Looking forward to my first Jeep!

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Some updated info:

http://www.autoweek.com/article/2012...NEWS/120629892

Seems to imply the 3.0 diesel won't be coming with the 8spd? Maybe I missed that or just assumed the 8speed would be included as the 5spd is phased out...

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I believe the author is citing current drive train mileage numbers. I'm believing the specs at the start of this thread stating the 3.0 (CRD) will have the 8 speed.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Any thoughts on when colors would be decided? I would love to see a GTS blue come along for the '14 GCSRT8

If they don't have a decent blue and/or the Mineral Gray changes I'm going to have a hard time...

Thanks as always for the info Milous!

I'll be ordering a 2014 at the end of the year and can't wait to see the mpg numbers for the v6 and the 3.0 diesel matted to the 8 speed tranny.

I'm just excited to see how that equates to the GC which is 1k lbs heavier with lower gearing.

I'm expecting somewhere around 17-18 city and 25-26 highway. I'm also looking forward to better acceleration from a stopped position. All the complaints about bad shift points and poor acceleration scared me away from the 5 speed.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

It would be awesome if the 3.6 gets 26mpg Highway. Just saw a commerical lastnight for the new BMW X5 with diesel, they say that would average 26mpg highway.

In the small print at the end of the BMW ad it it says:
"Depending on road conditions and the way the person drives"

Unfortunately they probably have to put that there to prevent people from suing when they average 25.4 mpg instead of 26.
