New Uconnect Sprint Pricing?

Now that the RAM is out with the new uconnect system that hooks up through Sprint, the only pricing info out there seems to be on the Wifi hotspot, which is spendy at $15/day, $30/week, $49/month.

I did some digging but cannot find anywhere that says what the basic service (apps, remote start, etc) costs per month.

it looks like a free trial of the service is included with the vehicle, which I assume will probably be one year for the Grand Cherokee, but nothing on pricing after that trial expires.

Anyone know anyone who knows anyone who knows what the cost is??

Sprint is powering the Wifi?

They'd have to pay me to use the service.

I'm just kidding. Sprint has been doing some serious work on their network lately and it's starting to show in some places. Each day it seems to get better and better.

I know that a few of the insiders like beer. Maybe we can send them a care package!

Also, isn't the quality of diesel fuel different (better or worse) in Europe which would also mean that the efficiency would be different right off the bat?

Anyone know anyone that knows a guy that might have also heard that?

Heh. The only bad thing about Sprint lately has been their data speeds, BUT their service has always been great. I've never had a problem with them the 8 almost 9 years I've been with them.

And the best part is, when I call, they always want to help. Never had any issues with bad customer service.

I just registered all of that in my 13 Ram, so as soon as I get all the registration info I'll post it up.

Awesome! Thanks in advance. I hope they don't do the pusher approach and get you hooked real good before revealing the price...

Do you have an exact date for ordering. I believe the latest info here was Jan 9

G'day Chevyboy,

I've read the whole thread(to the disdain of the Mrs) and don't remember a scoop being brought up before. You are right, there is a monumental amount of info here. Thanks to you, Milous, Scottina, Marion and others for sharing. If you can point me in the direction of the discussion involving the scoop in the hood I would be most appreciated. Also, are you seeing the scoop on the factory floor? Does it come on the Overland or just the Limited.

Thanks in advance. Time to update my 96 Cherokee!

Have you test driven an '11-13 GC? If so, what trim(s)? And when you looked at the sticker, what comparable competitor were you more pleased with?

I could tell you this thing is second to none for the price, but 1.) you apparently wouldn't agree, and 2.) bc I have an undeniable bias, I'd just sound like a slap. But to answer your question, it's not practical to use top notch materials in all trims considering the starting pricing of a base Laredo for example. But the Laredo isn't meant to be a gentleman's car. If you think this thing has hard plastic surfaces, then what's in your XK must feel like concrete to you! If your number one concern is interior quality and feel, I'd suggest you look into the Overland Summit. You're gonna pay for that "feel" you want, but you're not gonna find an overall package for that same price, either. Hope this helps..
