Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Just got information from my French Jeep dealer in Southern France for a 2014 GC CRD Overland:
- Prices will be known within 1 st quarter 2013 (which isn't very precise)
- Delivery in July 2013
Wanted to have my new Jeep in May, so suggested he should do what he can for an earlier delivery.

The DEF thing doesn't bug me much (my father in law sells the stuff ).

But having to watch what diesel pumps I go to will be kind of annoying.

Has anybody heard any more about the Harmon Kardon System being an option on the summit?

It will be available for the Summit, and in fact *might* be Standard...

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

G'day Milous,Chevy and Marlon - you guys are legends but you have caused me to the brink of a nervous breakdown!
I put a deposit down and ordered a 2013 Laredo for Jan/Feb delivery. Then read this forum. by the time I read post #2 I got an empty feeling in the gut that said, "You fool!". Another week of restless sleeps before I rang the dealer to change the order to a 2014.
All good with the dealer, deposit transferred to the 2014 but advised delivery date to Australia is expected to be June/July.
How does that time frame fit with your estimate Milous? Would much appreciate your comment.

That seems to be a little later than I would think. In part it's going to depend on several factors including dealer allocation. How soon did your dealer get 2013 models after they were launched? Production on 2013s for Australia started right away, in early July. It is still unknown how long the 2014s will be held for QC, depends how the first batches pan out. Should know more regarding Aussie builds a bit after the production launch. Just make sure your dealer stays on top of things as far as when he will be able to place an order, you want to get it in the system right away.

Thanks a million Milous, now I can play your game with my dealer, feed her small morsels of info. She is already wondering where I am getting this inside info. Seems CJ Australia do not release to their dealers, the detailed info gleaned from JG!
Will now go and pay up so that I can start tracking as soon as I can. I ordered a red one so will be keen to see what red Jeep settle on... Thanks again guys.

You will pay up Chevy and Marlin, won't you now?
