Not that I'm offended at all, or that I would necessarily mind different 17" wheels on the 2014 Laredo, but out of curiosity what makes you feel that they don't fit or that they look cheesy? To me they look pretty similar to the 18"s, but maybe I'd have a better idea if I compared them up close in person. The only major difference I can see is that the 18s have flared "spokes", whereas the 17s don't. Also, when comparing directly side by side in photos you can tell that the 18" wheels are slightly larger, which would make sense.

Here are the 17"s:

Here are the 18"s:

If those are different, I'm surprised. But your compared Laredo rims 17 vs Laredo 18". I was referring to the Laredo vs Limited rims.

I'm not saying they are ugly where I wouldn't buy the vehicle, I'm saying that they are just plan and kind of make the vehicle (from the side) look base even if you do grades inside.

Jeep, IMHO, does a good job of providing a vehicle for those who feel price is very important, to one for those who are not at all concerned with price, and me. I fall somewhere between the two extremes.

I believe if you go back and look at the autoblog spy pics you will see the new laredo wheels...

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Who is to say that those are the actual rims that will come with the Laredo? Chevy, Marlon, Scott, Milous - can anyone verify this?

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Hi All.....At least, I'll get the forum to stop reminding me to post with this. First, let me thank everyone for the info and discussion; it's a big help in enthusiasm, at the very least. Second, I should express what is important to me and that would be the color combinations and MPG numbers with the 8-speed. Finally, while I'm sure there is a separate thread, I'm always looking for reassurance on the quality expectations. The reason that I do not already own a GC is the perceived quality in past years and the feeling that the MPG numbers are about to improve noticeably. On the plus side, the interior and capabilities make me anxious to get past the above.

Keep the info coming. I look forward to becoming part of the "family". I like cornbread dressing at family gatherings.

As a closing thought: Does anyone have the red/saddle combination? I love them both and really struggle when thinking about having them BOTH together. I haven't seen one in person and would like to hear the impressions of others. Is there a colors thread someplace that I haven't found?

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Welcome Tuffy. Your decision should be easier, since Saddle won't be back for the 2014s. The new interior color is a medium brown color. We haven't seen pictures of it yet though.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Why are we discussing wheels on the '11 model in this thread?

Who cares, they are old news and the new ones are much more exciting.

Thanks.

Not sure why you are limiting it to 4 colors, as if that is known. 2013 Summit currently is offered in six colors. It would be nice to know the answer to your question though...

The ones in the AutoBlog photos are in motion. Are you referring to the MotorTrend ones?

It looks like those same wheels are used on the Limited in the spy shots, so I wonder if those are going to be the actual final wheels, for either the Laredo or the Limited. I would actually be kind of surprised if they were offered as standard on the Laredo, they look a little too sporty and "upper scale" to be base 17" rims.

You probably won't see that until you get spy pictures from someone who doesn't work for Jeep. He could lose his job if he did that.
