Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I urge all concerned parties to go back and read the previous discussion (in this thread) on this topic. It was approx. 3-4 weeks ago. After you catch up, you should have a better understanding of what's going on.

Only bc you're an SRT girl

1.) Headlights not going anywhere, but aren't accurately represented in pics

2.) Black plastic is not a filler, it's a part of the headlight washer system.

3.) Overland gets fancy interiors

4.) Summits are almost as fancy as SRTs, yet far more luxurious

5.) CRDs will sell like hot cakes

6.) Don't buy and RA3 and upgrade it later for Nav. If you KNOW you want Nav, just get it upfront (RA4). An upgraded RA3 will still be inferior to the RA4.

7.) Laredo's have different headlights than the other trims.

This is just a sum of some of the most recent conversations we've had, off the top of my head. Milous' initial post is updated regularly, and has much more info there. But anyone who has the time should really go back and read the thread. There's some off-topic rambling, which I'm partly at fault for -- ok most of it, but there's some good info mixed in.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Did someone say GAP and PLASTIC piece under the headlights?

I know, I just thought it was funny when I saw some new pics of this car yesterday and focused on the black plastic under the headlights. Reminded me of this thread.

Hey Chevy, don't take all the thunder for the rambling on here. Jeepdiesel and myself have added quite a bit to it...

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Is the Australian version of the Overland a Summit or a basic Overland?

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Lots of talk about the interior on the Overland and Summits but not much on the Limited. Assuming the equipment packages stay similar to the 11-13, the Limited has exactly what I want (Xenons, pano roof, auto AC, rain senor) and none of what I don't want (ventilated seats, pumps and bladders for shocks, lazy man's tailgate).

Trouble is I prefer the saddle leather type look. Yes I know saddle is gone but it would be nice to have another option besides black and beige in a limited. I am fairly certain a Limited CRD is in my future, hoping I don't have to make a choice between a somewhat interesting interior color and troublesome equipment I can live without on what would be the workhorse of the fleet.

+1
Except I want the ventilated seats, Kansas summers get pretty hot. More interior color options would be a big plus!

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Yep, there might be a Limitied Pentastar with tow in my driveway if Saddle had been available when my WJ went tits up. Well, that and no CRD yet plus I was ticked at Jeep but I'm starting to get over it.
