Yeah, more tidbits on that would be good. It's been the odd man out and sort of lost with all the SRT info and other models. Haven't heard anything about the Quadra Lift updates either. Any noticeable differences there, faster air down to park maybe?

Chevy, I know way back when in this forum you said you were excited about the Laredo and that Jeep has made it a vehicle of its own... Um... what is one little itty bitty tidbit thats going to set the laredo aside?

Negative.. That dog idn't gonna hunt buddy. But good try.

No actually it's just another minor detail. I stated the other day that I'd investigate visual differences between the Limited and Overland. Bc see an optioned out Limited has virtually all the same stuff as an Overland, and I just figured there'd have to be something different (aside from interior options), bc the theme of this refresh appears to be breaking each trim apart from the others. With the current model(s), ppl often mistake one for another.

So, early this morning in doing my follow up Laredo research, I figured I'd take a crack at figuring it out. One side-note to this is that I almost mistook (<<< is that a word?) a Bright White Overland for an SRT! (Lord forgive me.. ) The reason? (I'll get to that in a min.)

So anyway, the research.. I spotted a black Limited, and a black Overland. Right next to each other. Two perfect inspection mules. I put on my latex gloves, pulled out my magnifying glass, and went to work... Same wheel offerings. Same (chrome) trim. Different grille designs; black honeycomb for the Overland, and vertical blinds on the Limited. But the ONE distinct difference will knock your socks off.. Ok maybe not. (Maybe Milous already posted this, but I don't remember seeing it here.) The Overland has body color (smooth finish) painted side fender, rocker panel, and lower front and rear fascia moldings. No more black composite looking stuff.

That's what threw me when I first saw the white Overland from afar. I knew it wasn't a Summit bc I could see the rocker panel, but I couldn't see the exhaust. So when I walked up on it and saw circles instead of ovals, my eyes were opened. It was like the heavens opened up. Finally, something to distinguish the Overland as its own. I hope this makes someone happy. Again, not a major "tidbit," but assuredly a point of interest for some!

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

yeah...I dotn like that. The SRT should only have those moldings. They shoulda done the overland/summit with painted moldings like the durango.....not like the SRT.

I think the spy shot IS from an SRT8.

Chevy - which exhaust option is this? The straight-pipe and glass pack option?

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Thanks for the intel, looks like I might be getting a tricked out Limited this time around. I sort of like the plastic molded look for some reason on the Jeep(crazy I know). Hopefully the upgraded limited has the same leather features as the Overland for the model refresh (Dash & Doors).

You're not crazy I like the plastic around the fenders as well. It protects the paint.

^^^ Agree! While some 2011/12 owners were color-matching/smoothing their body-mouldings, I was thankful mine were plastic:

An acquaintance (old woman/bad driver/no insurance) parked next to me then exited badly, gouging the rear-right wheel-well of my one-week-old Overland. The replacement plastic arch was $25 from the dealership, with the plastic rivets/gun available for around $15 from Harbor Freight. Just a few minutes and everything was fine again!
