I am also leaning towards Limited with a few extra options.

And I am still holding off for the 2014 despite just dumping $2000 into my 2000 Silverado for a new fuel pump and new bearings in the front diff. That's probably more than the dang truck is worth but it has 216,000 miles on it and I haven't made a car payment in over 7 years!

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Oh and FYI, the wheels on that red one in the spy pic are a new wheel for the Limited and Overland. I've seen several sets on both. But the wheels on the blue one in the other pic appear to be the new base Limited and Overland wheels, bc they're on most of them, even the Overlands with the fancy interiors.

But I'm sure you guys have figured that out by now..

Hey Chevy... there is one thing with the headlights we havent discussed much. The "new" lights (limited, overland, summit) seem to protrude out from the grill instead of being flush with everything... is that just an illusion from the black tape or are they actually like that?

I think that bothers me more than the "stupid black filler piece".

I think someone asked this about 50 pages ago LOL. They said they do protrude out just a little bit.

Check back a page or two about the 3 different headlight configurations. The ones in the picture do protrude out a little bit but nothing like the Yoda's 4Runner and Highlander. Those are butt! Reserve final judgement at the time of the reveal. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised on how well they fit.

I also do not mind the black plasticky wheel well moldings...The first time I really paid attention to that was when I saw it on a gray Altitude edition. That thing was just sweet looking even though I don't really like gray vehicles.

I guess it all depends on what else is with the vehicle.

I am assuming that the SRT is the only one with a unique hood configuration.

Decisions decisions....Limited vs. Overland vs. Summit vs. Special Editions (most likely based on the popularity of them last year). I feel very fortunate that I have such a fun decision to make!

By the time the diesels finally start being ordered or made I would hope we hear about the scheduled special editions for this year.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I looked at a red Overland with the black wheel opening molding and really liked it. Now it looks like the Overlands are going to have color matched. It's not a game changer, but the black on red really caught my eye.

Really? I hate those plastic looking moldings! Plus they will fade and get stained

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

So is the front bumper on the Overland slightly different than that on the Limited, so that the front fender flares line up with the front bumper?

There are no fender flares. The Overland and Limited moldings are essentially the same part.. One is slightly textured and unpainted, and the others are smooth, and painted body color. That's it.

Fender flares are only on the Summit and SRT.
