Can we get a pic of the molding being referenced? (of a 2011-2013 that is)

Kiwi shoe polish keeps the black looking good for months at a time. It also protects them from car wax when I get a little messy.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I will agree the body color look on the SRT's is good looking and fits very well. Makes it look lower and mean to me. The black gives a little appearance of being more rugged or something I guess. I am glad I still have a choice though so that's good news.

That's an awesome tip. My black Overland is usually immaculate but the moldings look awful. It's definitely getting traded for a Summit however so that problem is over.

+1 yes!! I have definitely noticed the black plastic on the bottom front of my jeep is getting road rash, and pitted. Not quite as fresh black plastic as when brand new

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

ah there are ways to keep the black looking black, but paint gets road chips , rock tings, and chipped. Paint i'm always touching it up, paint chips drive me crazy. Then when you look at it u can see the color difference where its been touched up and its not smooth. I like the body colored trim too, its just more maintenance. I'm eager to see the Summit with the fender flares. I'm thinking its going to end up looking like a luxury version of the SRT8 without the grunt and gas consumption (whether v6 or v8).

Me too. I just hope they don't over-do the chrome on the front of it, or offer a special edition with fender flares too, but less chrome.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I use S100 on my motorcycle engine and transmission cases and it works awesome!
I've also used Mothers Back to Black as well as S100 on my other black plastic vehicle parts.

I have been very impressed!

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I like chrome especially on dark colors but I think the summit has way too much. I like the chrome grille with black inserts. But on the limited and up the chrome door handles are too much for me. I'm thinking of taking side rails off because of this and well they aren't very useful. I do hope they find a balance on the 14's.

Damn. Hopefully what you're hearing is what Milous originally heard and what turned out to be (or so Milous thought...) a false rumor.

Have you heard anything about the production start date?
