I think that answers my question in a round about way, I take away from this, if you are looking at an Overland here in AU MY13, order the above code Summit.

Thanks Milous

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I have adaptive headlights on two other cars. They're cool, but in 90 percent or more of US driving situations they will offer no benefit over normal xenon headlights. Most roads in the US are wider and better lit than in the rest of the world not to mention arrow straight. Unless you do a lot of driving on curvy two lane country roads the non adaptive are fine. Also note that xenon lights are self leveling so with the adaptive you are just getting the side to side as you turn the wheel.

I believed that too until I moved out of NY.

Thanks Milous. I'll be ordering a 2014 Summit with V8. Might go SRT8 if the wife isn't paying attention when I order.

For instance, I know 4jeepdiesel wants a CRD (I suspect he'll probably go with an Overland.. The Summit is TOO fancy for him, but orange, if it somehow makes its way into our paint shop, would look great on an Overland). QuickOne wants another SRT (I'd guess a distinct blue if it became available). bill_de and Temarius are Summit guys, as well as some of our buddies across the pond (although they may not know it yet ). Scooterha is getting an Overland (he doesn't know it yet either.. Maybe another Laredo, but only if its super loaded.), etc.. And Milous - well I don't think he's stated what he'd go for. I'd suspect a black SRT. He's an elder to the site, so he probably likes the refinement of the Summits, yet there's hints of humor and youth in his posts, so he probably still likes to go fast. So a black SRT is a good medium. It's good for the black tie affairs, and it's speed is good for getting the hell out of there when they get boring!

Is it "I would love to see" or "I heard there might be"???
IF (big "if") it's the latter, any idea what model year this would be (and how this would translate on the actual calendar)? I mean, I am happy to wait for the 8-speed, new nav' and moving headlights, but if I keep waiting for next improvements forever, I'll never pull the trigger... Actually, having to wait a bit more to order overseas may help me decide with a bit more knowledge on future MYs improvements than what you guys in the US will have when the order books open.
As a side note, the nickname "hellcat" rocks! I always liked warbirds... and the Grumman Hellcat had a 2000 hp supercharged radial engine!!

Many thanks Milous. Would you tell me please when you know about France? You have made me hot for the Summit.

My present reservation with the dealer in France is for a CRD Overland but it is a reservation only at this stage and can be changed.

Yes, same. As option added ADG (N/A before) and Rassian Navi.

P.S. We lack Laredo, delivery of spare parts in 2-3 months. But Overland with headlight washer system and CRD, but without the repeaters in the mirrors

That's where I'm putting my betting money as well. That $4k-$5k more covers alot of toys.

Especially if you make it a standard package (less mucking about with 30 checkboxes and odd combos).

I'd expect the CRD Summit I'm eyeballing to run a couple grand more than a current Summit + Hemi.
