True - especially if the harman/kardon sound is standard. That is already a $2K feature.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Hellcat is the designation for the 6.2 supercharged hemi coming in the summer of 2013 for the LX based SRT8's.....rumored to make 600 hp at 9-10 psi with beefed up internals

Gotta offset the CAFE gains from the CRD somehow.

Milous - you were saying how no dealer can add an order yet until the order banks open - but how does it work with filling the previous orders for my13's that are to be filled as 14's. Do they still just wait until the banks open, or would they already be put through? Cheers.

As I understand it, priority for 13's would go to sold orders, meaning that if any 13's end up being cancelled they would start by eliminating non-sold dealer orders. That could mean that a very small number of customer orders (if any) would be switched to '14's.

A cancelled '13 customer order is not "automatically" switched to a '14, it has to be cancelled and a '14 re-ordered in its place - there are too many variables like the VON/VIN, option packages changes, possible color changes, pricing differences etc. to switch "straight across". The system will not accept any '14 orders until the day the ordering banks open.

Summer 2013 for the 300C, Charger and Challenger (I have exact dates somewhere around here). All-new SRT 6.2L supercharged engines, with and without MDS. The 6.2L is not replacing the 6.4L, SRT models will offer both.

Thanks milous. I was wondering how they would make it work with all the changes - at least that clears it up for me.

Hey JKAU, likewise, I am in Sydney and waiting till Jan to order the SRT 8 and looking for a another dealer to talk to, the current one is struggling to book me in for a test drive at the moment

Especially if you make it a standard package (less mucking about with 30 checkboxes and odd combos).

I'd expect the CRD Summit I'm eyeballing to run a couple grand more than a current Summit + Hemi.
I agree that's where it SHOULD be with what Milous has indicated will be standard but it all depends where they want to place it from a marketing perspective. Want to set it apart from the Overland, place it halfway between the Overland and SRT in price. I sure hope not because I'm in for a red Summit (hint for Chevy) one way or the other.

Just sayin.....

Is it too early to start a dedicated "WK2 SRT8 hellcat" thread?

Although he owned performance vehicles in the past, he shares the opinion that high performance suits a sedan or coupe better than an SUV and if you decide to go with an SUV, you should focus on one that's a true SUV and one that's aimed at the phrase "utility" - like the Jeep Grand Cherokee.
Have you driven a performance SUV? On a track? And passed other performance Sedans with their eyes as large as saucers in awe?
I chose to focus on the " sport " portion of the phrase. To me, a slow, wallowing cushy SUV isn't a sport utility, but a utility vehicle period. Where is the sport?
I'm just messing with you, but I think of the SUV moniker and laugh at its acronym as I drive by. But any time you want a ride in a SPORT utility vehicle, let me know, and bring clean undies. You won't be let down.
