Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I'm going to the charity preview on the 17th the night before the Detroit auto show opens. As much as I'd like to order on January 9 (if it holds) I think I'm going to wait another week. Until I see the new brown in the Summit, the blue in the Overland, etc I'm just gonna be guessing. When I sit in it and touch it I'll know for sure.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Jeepers,

Just one more question. Are you excited about your new Jeep?

I hope the colors and features are exactly what you want ... you deserve it.

I've only been waiting a couple of months.

I was talking to my pops about the new diesel option they were going to offer. Looks like he'll be getting one for to tear up on the ranches. The lease rate jeep offers is too good not to pass up.

I'm just messing with you, but I think of the SUV moniker and laugh at its acronym as I drive by. But any time you want a ride in a SPORT utility vehicle, let me know, and bring clean undies. You won't be let down.
See, I go the other way. I see the Sport and think "That's my sport(s), not sport racing". That is, I slap my kayaks on the top and hang my mountain bikes off the back end and go climb a mountain with my Jeep.

To each their own though!

As for driving in the snow and such, it really comes down to a couple key things:
  1. How icy are the roads? (Snow shouldn't be much of an issue, it's the ice that will get ya, snow just finishes the job)
  2. How good are your tires and are they suited for the conditions? (even the best 4x4 will be in trouble if it has crap tires)
  3. Is the driver expereinced for the conditions? (Even the best 4x4 in the best tires will end up in a ditch if the driver has no idea what they are doing)

I can see that point, but then why "Sports Car"?

I'm just kidding with you.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

This may have already been posted, but could this be a sample of the blue interior? It's from a scrap yard in detroit and claim it's all oem which is strange. The have the entire interior with the JEEP logo.

that's what I assumed, but the "JEEP" on the seat backs (not pictured here) look OEM. I agree the quality definitely looks a little off from OEM.

Could light colored leather have been dyed blue?

Sure glad I got my 2013 Laredo because those pics of the grey grill on the 2014 Laredo just plain suck. I was hoping that it was something they just threw on there that hadn't been painted but sadly that is not the case. So is that some marketing guy's idea of how they can up sell a Laredo customer to Limited?
