Like I said. Not a red I would buy. Should have put quotes on the red.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I would be pretty surprised if there wasn't some sort of red option. Serious question, are there any cars out there on the market today that don't have a red color option?

Red is one of the most popular car colors of all time. According to this it's the 5th most popular, behind white, silver, black, and gray.

Not offering a red would almost be like not offering a white or black.

Waiting for Black Clear Coat and a Vapor Edition based off of the Summit but with Nappa and Alcantara and with the new Summit wheels (polished or black chrome).

3. THERE ARE NO CANADIAN RADIO STATIONS THAT BROADCAST IN HD (a feature of the new RA4 radio)

Thanks for info, Milous. I knew some of these features wouldn't be available. No big deal for me. Just hope we get the Summit for sure in Canada. I'm looking at the Summit but not if there is fake leather. I just might have to downgrade to the overland or maybe convince the wife the SRT8 is fuel efficient if the Supercharged version is available before June.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

With so many great colors available in the existing Jeep/Dodge colors, it's mind boggling that the second most expensive model only comes in various shades of black.......or you can get white.
Even more reason to wait for the Hellcat.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Getting angry at myself that this unconfirmed rumor of SUMMIT fake leather disturbs me so much that I start looking at Land Rover websites.

Really not justified at this stage, just silly me, but it should show Jeep what the effect of fake leather or of faking leather to new premium car customers would be.

Have been driving BMW, Mercedes, BMW, and in Asia an Isuzu MU7 (my favorite) so far, want a nice true 4x4 for Europe now. Would be my first Jeep.

However, we still don't know what colors are available on which model - except for the SRT8..

That pdf from Switzerland breaks it all down and is likely a good clue.

What's wrong with the Overland? It has Nappa leather and is also a top of the line trim level.

I'm pretty sure most mass produced car companies use fakeish leather on their interiors, that or just "leather appointed" meaning only the area that your body sits on, bottom cushion and back. I know I paid out the ass for the LTZ package on my suburban but I know damn well that the seats are not the same quality of leather that you would find in a Ferrari, Rolls Royce or Bentley. At least my suburban seats are much more durable while looking and feeling the part. Plus it beats the crap out of having to sit on cloth seats.
