Sorry for the 3rd post about this.. but I will be disappointed if Canada doesn't get the 2014 Summit! I know 2013 my brother could only order a Overland model with some summit features as I stated in an earlier post. Please have Summit available for us CANADIANS!!! Why didn't they have the 2013 Summit available for Canada anyway?

Trying to figure out/understand/comprehend marketing decisions is all but impossible. I have been trying to confirm Canada for the Summit but especially tough right now as everyone is on vacation.

And the more typical five year old interior for my mostly daily driver. Also detailed regularly (maybe 3 or 4 times a year) with no cracking or fading.

If the leather is good to start with and you treat it with love, it should be durable and even get better and softer with age.
Great looking car you have on its 10th birthday. Thank you for your response. What you describe is what I would expect from a leather interior. Had leather on my Merc E320T. After 2 years and 60k miles it looked better than new because it had aged with use beautifully. Became softer and had this wonderful leather look. Therefore I was shocked reading about the Jeep leather issues.

If the leather is taken care of yes, it will last a long time with little wear.

Showing a BMW or MB is not the best way to show someone as both companies have been substituting pleather for years with very few owners actually selecting the leather seating surfaces.

BMW and Ford also use a thicker hide that is course to the touch which holds up better over time.

Those cars are probably leather. While, the base model BMWs have pleather almost all the cars you will find on the dealer lots have the premium package. The car with the tan interior is definitely leather as the pleather only comes in black and beige.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

chevyboy, Appreciate all of your responses. What did you think of the Overland interior in Black with the Moroccan sun wood trim? Is the stitching on the dash and middle console white? What exactly color is Moroccan sun? Also, do you think the lower fascias and fenders of the Overland or the Summit looks better?

Those cars have leather. The one on top is natural brown napa leather on a 3 series, the lower picture is the upgraded black pearl leather on a 6 series - softest stuff I've had in any car.

No matter what, if you take care of it, it will last. If it's not cleaned and conditioned regularly it will dry out and crack. Probably not an issue for a 24 to 36 month lease, but a good thing to do if intending to hang on to it for the long haul. For the Jeeps with the leather dash in hot climates I would be doing it even more often. It's one of the reasons I'm leaning towards the Limited cuz it's one less hassle to deal with.
