Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

If they would change the wheels to something less tame or soft but keep the grill white that thing would be beautiful.

I'm hoping the 2014s clean up that goofy front bumper. Get those ebay light bars into the headlights and make the front look a bit more pissed off by giving it some big ol' brake duct coolers making it look like you better move out the way or get sucked up into the engine.... kinda like the X5 which looks angry in the picture below:

But that's not standard either ;-) not even on the X5M.

Actually I really like the looks of the GC, if they wouldn't touch the outside at all that would be fine by me. The gearbox should be an important improvement, the UConnect will be nice but not such a big deal... I appreciate all the minor improvements but the car is already pretty great!

I was gonna purchase a GC this month, but I decided to wait for the 2014.
any estimation of the date of its export to the middle east markets?

I don't want black or white. The Rugged Brown is nice, but I am actually going to be painting my pickup that color (and our Subaru is a brownish color too) so I don't want it on a WK2.

The grey color is the best anyway - so get that!

I really like the Black Forest Green color. But as I am waiting for an early 2015 (I want to give them a chance to work out any CRD/8-speed integration issues) I don't even know what colors will be available then.

I, too, would like to give some time for any issues to be addresssed, but I'm not sure I'll be able to wait a full year and a half from CRD launch to 2015s. I wonder if there will be any interval changes during the long 2014 MY. If my expectations are realized, waiting from spring 2013 to spring 2014 will be hard enough unless info of 2015 changes comes along. I'll be surprised if much will change from MY 2014 to 2015 unless it's just option packaging.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Anyone know if the CRD will have the dual exhaust or single??
Counter-intuitively, I'm jumping on a CRD as soon as I can get it. As a 2014 being released so early in 2013- you can sell or trade in a year and it's technically brand new...or in early 2015 it's still only one model year old even though you had it for two. Early release pays dividends on the back end book value wise.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I would imagine the US version of the CRD will have dual exhaust as the WK2 CRD that's sold overseas has duals.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Both the CRD and the 8 speed are tried and true, just not together in GC. I plan to wait until the new drivetrain is in people's hands for around 3 months. If all is well my order goes in. I hope to be driving my new machine around this time next year.
