I was just looking in our calendar for allocation dates and almost all CJDR products open on the 8th.

A couple that don't, the new GC and the 10Th Anniversary edition rubicon. Both are delayed about a week from the 8th.

It would probably be easier to make an amendment to the constitution! As noted above, I still have not seen a list of finalized confirmed launch colors.

To clarify, there's usually a delay in production after a tweak regardless of its status in production (for example, order placed on the 8th, modified on the 15th, and production starts the 22nd), or there's usually a delay in production after a tweak only if it's made while the vehicle is in D status?

That's great news. I think any kind of red would make a lot of people happy, if only they would offer it on the Summit.

Lets hope you are right!

It is odd they wont be offering a type of blue on the Laredo... Jeepers I hope you get your wish. As I dont think its fair for Summit buyers to be restricted to certain colors. I understand why they do that but I dunno, I know money is the name of the game, but to get a blue color you have to jump to the limited. I guess if you want a Laredo because of the cloth you may have to order a Limited and request cloth I dont know. Seems odd.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

If they offer the SRT8 in Deep Cherry again - it very well may pull we away from Crystal Metallic.

I'd like header orange or b5 blue though if I could.

Thanks, and I agree. I'm actually okay with them making some of the colors only available on the higher trims. But at least give us some good alternatives to choose from besides black white or gray.

Also personally I don't know how many people would be willing to pay an extra several thousand bucks to go for a higher trim just to get a certain color. (I wouldn't mind if certain colors cost an additional few hundred bucks for the Laredo though.) My uneducated guess is that color probably wouldn't change the trim that most people chose, although it might change the vehicle that some people chose. Maybe it's exclusivity then? But black, white, and silver are available on the Laredo too...

I wouldn't be quite as disappointed if the Black Forest Green didn't look so darn black... but thankfully the colors aren't finalized yet so there's still some hope.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Pat, thanks for the info. Are you able to elaborate more on the difference between "first allocation" and further allocations? Specifically, when production starts on the "first", and then on the second and further ones.

I just want to know if not placing an order in the first allocation means production won't start for my vehicle for several weeks after.

This of course is assuming that Milous doesn't let us know that the general order bank open date is the 8th for everyone and not "just dealers" like JJ's dealer's e-mail seemed to suggest.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Same here, but you know this may explain the Limited model without the HIDS. As Chevyboy said that white limited in the spy pic was a "stripped down" Limited. Maybe they are going to offering several different levels of each trim. It is pretty smart to do that, hey you want a limited but to get the HIDS, you have to get this package! It all makes sense now!!! LOL
