Yes, it is now HD in the seatbacks so you can get the pano roof and actually use the rearview mirror while the kids are watching a movie about wizards.

Moroccan Sun refers to the color of the wood trim in the Jeep Brown interior.

How many kids do you have Scott?
I've got the powerlift gate on the Enclave I've got. You don't know how many times, I have to squat down like an NHL goalie when I go to open the rear, because something fell against the rear and was going to fall out and crash on the ground.
And so many other times, I'm left closing the gate after packing everything in and one little bag is sticking out, 1 " too much and causes the gate to not close. So I'm left battling the safety sensor to squish the bag 1" so everything fits! It's certainly one of the most annoying things about this set up.
With the flipper, you can pack halfway, then open the flipper and pack it to the gills without having to worry about the pesky safety closer mechanism that we all know is way too sensitive!

Sorry for the rant, but given visibility in the current generation, I don't think there's a problem here. You have side mirrors right? LOL!!!

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Happened to me EVERY-TIME.. opened the back gate and every item dumped onto the pavement. then I remembered the goalie net (that came with the jeep and I removed saying-- I'll never need this net) helped 100% with groceries dumping out onto my driveway.

Wife still upset-- no flipper =)

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Bummed about the flipper, at least with the power lift gate you can stand by back so as not to get hit by your stuff as it pours out, lol

re: previous comments, big trailer blocking hatch sound like a bummer, cargo net for retention a good idea

I've been waiting sooo long for this new Jeep (since 2011 as I didn't like any of the colors then and for other reasons since) so I really wish MY 2014 was all additions/improvements and not take aways.

I can't wait to see one, I might be in for a 2013 instead but at least I should be able to get a great price on it!

I bike a lot (posted pic of my current setup somewhere in this earlier already) and when I have my bikes on a hitch mounted bike rack flipper glass is THE ONLY way to get to my stuff. Can't open tailgate w/o removing bikes or lowering them. Kind of pain if you just want to grab a rain jacket or something from there.

Not a deal breaker for me but not sure why would they remove it on an SUV.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Maybe someone has good news? Is there anyone at JNAP that signs their initials in random places like the Brampton Builder with the LX models?

I'm wondering this as well. Milous, I hesitate to use the word speculation (since you obviously provide hard facts) but it's just a bit unclear if you're saying the flipper glass is gone just because you don't see the finger pull for it anymore or if this was a feature elimination that was discussed among the ranks and a decision was made to remove the flipper (basically definitively ending any hope that it comes back in some other form). Any chance you could clarify if it's your conjecture or if it's been officially removed? Thanks.

I think it's gone gone if one of the purposes was to improve visability. The finger pull alone didn't create that big of a blind spot.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

The same focus group that thought Cashmere was a good color for an SUV, never used the flip glass.

They are diminishing the 'U' in SuV
