The 19-speaker Harman system is Standard on the Summit.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

So will the rear dvd entertainment center be available on launch for all models except for the SRT?

Interesting you mention that - I was thinking about that last night - that there is far more buzz and excitement about the '14 than there was on the all-new '11 when it was debuting! Never seen anything like it!!

Late for all models, no ETA.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

It seems more exciting because of the new options/technology.

Here is hoping it is there by the time the CRDs start rolling out of the factory.

That and while I could be totally wrong about this since, it seems as if the original WK wasn't too well received by customers or critics, at least as well as the previous Grand Cherokees had been. On the other hand the WK2 has been very well received by both customers and critics... so now it's like wow, the WK2 is already awesome, but they're making all these awesome improvements?

So it's a matter of making tweaks to an already great design, vs. a redesign of a (and remember I don't speak from first hand experience) not so great design. The latter will probably always be less exciting because you don't really know what to expect until it actually comes out.

That's what happens when a very good product is converted into a freakin' outstanding product.

Honestly, I can't think of any SUV in this category (or even +$20K) that can compete - and since the pre-facelifts are already selling great, I wonder if Jeep might be forced to set up quadruple shifts...
