Hopefully there's a few of each (US and BUX) over there when I go in.. Were you able to confirm that the export models will get different headlamps on the Laredo? I see you said you won't have pics of the Laredo, but has anything like that come down to you?

Sorry, grey grille.

Still not sure why they couldn't have just kept the original design, but whatever. [/QUOTE]

Ummm, because someone in Detroit had the outrageous idea that we would all look silly driving these around in 2013/2014. Crazy....right???

I had a feeling, no problem.

Granted I may change my mind upon seeing pictures, but right now on the Laredo (which I'm getting) I think I'd take the grey grille over a completely body colored grille with no chrome inlets any day of the week. There needs to be some contrast there otherwise it ends up looking blah and totally not bold. Unless you buy a higher trim's grille or another color grille and swap it, which, we'll see, but I might just end up doing.

Example, I think this looks great and based on that photo alone I'd be happy with a front end that looks like this, on this color at least:

This, on the other hand, in this picture at this perspective at least, looks not so attractive to me. It looks feminine and there's not enough contrast for my liking, even with the chrome inlets (which kinda blend in with the white paint)

Here's the grey grille, which I actually do like, because it provides contrast (at least against this dark color) like the 2011-2013 chrome grille does:

If that's the right manual, I guess Garmin is very much involved.
Not sure. Got the following info from Garmin:
Chrysler has several different Media Centers they can install in their vehicles. We provide the navigation in the Chrysler Media Center 430N RHB and the Chrysler Media Center 8.4N/RB5. .... There are other media centers with different companies providing navigation. You would have to contact Chrysler for any information on the other media centers and to find out who provides the navigation.
In a recent Chrysler news release I found the following comment:
HARMAN engineers worked with Chrysler teams to design the latest Uconnect 8.4A and 8.4AN systems, premiering on several 2013 Chrysler vehicles. .... Uconnect 8.4A and 8.4AN are on the market now in the 2013 Ram 1500 and will be available soon in the 2013 SRT Viper.
Therefore, based on Garmin's comment (8.4N/RB5) and the press release (8.4AN) and if the Ram 1500 system is what we may see in the 2014 GC, indeed Garmin may not be the navigation provider.

Well, hope whatever is in the box is better or at least as good as Garmin. I know Garmin but have never heard of or used a Harman navigation, at least not knowingly.

Is it just me that thought this or did others as well??? I was about positive we were all assuming the summit would be all chrome in the area where the laredo is grey (was grey), and the SRT would be black. The chrome rings are pretty standard (besides laredo), so i wasn't paying attention to that.

I am 100% sure I didn't report that, bc I distinctly remember joking abt how if that whole area WAS chrome, then oncoming traffic would suffer, and ppl would be blinded and your fancy Summit would cause a lot of accidents! Lol..

I wish I wasn't so lazy right now, I'd go back and find all my posts on the grilles and fascias for you.. But ummm. lol

I bet it didn't say "since 1941" in the headlights cuz it was built then.
