Auburn has a slight reddish hue to it.. But if the Rugged Brown were staying, I'd say that's the better color.

So the combination of luxury and full off-road isn't allowed, even if the customer would be willing to pay the price? Can't believe it.

Anyway I'll wait till next week and then make my decision. If Jeep doesn't want me to spend more money, then I go back to a full off-road Overland. GOOD BYE SUMMIT!

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

OK, so I might be the only female following this thread. Never owned a Jeep but my husband is on his 4th Rubicon, lifted , big ugly tires, snorkel, the whole bit. All the engine talk means pretty much squat to me, I just want nice and pretty with lots of fun stuff to play with LOL.

I will have to order sight unseen as my lease is going to expire.

That said, I've grown partial to the Dark/Light Frost interior and see they are changing it to Light Frost/Brown. So my question is to Milous, Chevy, Marlon, Scott or anyone else that has actually seen it. How does the Jeep brown compare to the Dark Frost? I'm looking forward to seeing the pictures but would love to first hand opinion.

Thanks to all of you. You guys provide much entertainment

I have to fold in my mirrors so i dont get gored by my mirror when walking between my vehicles. Sometimes I forget to walk around to flip out the mirrors until I am already in motion. It would be convenient to not have to pull over, stop, put in park, unbuckle, get out, run around to fold out mirror, etc. etc.

Pretty much. Useful in tight urban environments and tight trails. Otherwise, not much use for them.

I had them on a Lexus that I think I only ever used them at the car wash (and that was so the lackey didn't damage the motor folding them in...).

Yes, search for chrysler 200.

Also, go to www.paintref.com and look at Chrysler or search for Deep Auburn Pearl paintref. You'll find some examples.

The Auburn has some maroonish tint to it along with some brown to it where the rugged brown was just brown. A very nice color IMO.

The Auburn is I think a very interesting color but it's only on the SUMMIT so you have to pay $$$$ for it. I'd rather get an overland or a limited and then go get it painted whatever color you want.

It's reported to be similar to this brown on the new RAM Laramie
