It appears to be a stand-alone option, so it would not hold up orders.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Milous,
Think the Select-speed control will be available when the CRDs start rolling off the line? Or is it one of those "it is in the works right and will be done when it is done"? (Engineer steaming from ears as he answers)

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I'm just thinking out loud a little. Since the selec - speed is controlled by the paddles, it's possible it will just be some kind of software update. The ability for the computers to control the accelerator and brakes is already there.

Hi ya What does the "front park assist " do? And also, how much better is the 19 speaker H Kardon Stereo now avail in the Summit than the regular stereo in the Overland?

Selec-Speed (on EcoDiesel & V8)
Getting confused now. Is Selec-Speed a new system different to the hill descent button that is part of the Selec-Terrain panel for the '2012 (see below)? Will the Summit still have the hill descent button?

Or is the delay due to the coupling of hill ascent/descent with the paddles and the 8-speed, and the Summit will no longer have this button?

New to the GC? Yes. New to Chrysler in general? No. Every other vehicle with Keyless Enter-N-Go is already using this fob.

These Summits sure are blingy.

600 a day?

I remember walking out many days, with both shifts building way less than 500 a day... many skips, many pulled vehicles...

Mercedes quality? pfft... Do we really want to go there? The way Mercedes was handling Chrysler and recently themselves, you don't want their quality standards.

I had a Chrysler vehicles under Daimler design and engineering. It was a nightmare and a lemon.

From the way it sounds, it may not even require any software update in the vehicle. The Internet service provider would probably need to enable functionality on the server side.
<O</O
That is if “Uconnect Access Via Mobile” means just access to Uconnect via mobile and/or Internet.

I am a first time poster but have been following this thread for quite a while. Just wanted to thank Milous and everybody for all the info!<O</O
