  • Crap Brown
Seriously?

Why don't I just pimp the crap out of a Limited? Sure, I won't get *everything* on my list, but atleast I'll have a decent selection of colours...

You SRT guys are just... screwed.

Make friends with a body shop guy that's handy with a paint sprayer I guess...
Are you serious about the paint colors? For what they charge for the overland they should offer about 8 different color choices. When do you think that will be the final decision and if you order one why can't you have them paint it any of their available colors?

When it comes to M and AMG, I can tell for sure that there is a selection of interior colors.

A quick look-up against the competitive offerings;

For X5M - 7 exterior, 5 interior and 4 trim options

For ML63 AMG - 11 exterior, 3 interior and 4 trim

For Cayenne S - 8 exterior, 8-9 interior and 4 trim

For JGC SRT8 - 3 exterior, 1 interior and 1 trim. Add 1 for the Alpine edition

In addition to the standard colors from the German brands, individual (or exclusive) colors are available.

The SRT8 is nice but there should be some selection in color/trim scheme.

I'm all about black interiors and will probably never own a vehicle with out it, but I do agree that they should offer options. The 300 SRT8, Charger SRT8, and Challenger SRT8 are available with a Radar Red interior along with black. It's only two options, but it's least an option. From what I have seen on the M, AMG, and RS models they should add either a silver/grey, nutmeg brown color and/or a cream with the same setup as the Radar Red where the dash, carpets and plastics are black and the seats, armrest cover, and door leather are in the non-black color. I believe all M, AMG, and RS models do the two tone scheme of black and then whatever color, so I doubt you will ever see a full tan, or full grey interior in any SRT models. Probably has to do with the fact that they all use a black headliner.

300

Charger

Challenger

Good lord, the choices are dull, dark & claustrophobia inducing black or whore house red? Seriously?

What is is with some companies who think that more performance minded customers' interior choices should be limited to Model T era drab black or some garish & soon to be dated neon color? Performance need not exclude a classy interior.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

For those living in a primarily cool location like Wisconsin, I could see enjoying a black interior and maybe even preferring it.

Alas... down here in West Texas in the middle of the desert with 4 months of potential 100+ , 10-15 days of which could be 110+ a black interior is just not realistic for a lot of people. Nice for a weekend car you keep in the garage but if you actually use it on a daily basis, it is gets old very very fast.

A silver/grey (or any light color) option for the interior would swing me back to the 14' SRT instead of the 14' Overland CRD.

I like red interiors in some vehicles. Perhaps it's the picture but, IMO, it doesn't look good with the SRT8 vehicles.

Cool places like Wisconsin, are you kidding me? Do you think it doesn't get hot up here (probably not as hot as Texas). I have black leather in my Trailblazer now and I hate it. In July it sucked so bad having black leather, took a very long time to cool the car down as that stuff stays hot. For the Winter, we don't get that cold here. Typically in the winter it is 15-25 degrees, not 5 degrees like you think (that would be Minnesota).

I hope they come out with a different color of leather than black..

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I am pretty sure Wisconsin had a much warmer July than Texas did.

I have black leather in my car right now, to put it simple, it's absolutely awful at times but it certainly isn't to the point I can't sit in it.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

You guys sure do whine a lot! LOL!

I'm pretty sure if 10 colors and 6 interior choices were available you would still find something to complain about. I can hear it now....why do they have to have so many choices, it's to hard to decide, they never have the color I want on the lot, why can't they make it simpler. Hahaha! Ya just can't please everyone!

Oh and I have black interiors in both my cars living in S FL, no complaint here. We don't have hot summers, we have hot and humid ALL year!
