Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I'm assuming there's a typo in the feature availability list in the press release for the speakers? It lists the 6-speaker set up as standard on Laredo and Laredo E, the 9-speaker as optional on the Limited and Standard on Overland, and the 19-speaker as standard on Summit. None of the speaker systems are listed as standard on the Limited. The Limited DOES come with speakers, right??

Is it safe to assume the 6-speaker is standard and the 9-speaker is an option?

BTW, do we already have any pictures that show the alternative wood trims that were mentioned a few months ago (if they haven't been cancelled)?

Looks brown to me.

For contrast, look at the black in the SRT.

It says, if I'm reading it right, it is the mobility app for the Uconnect that will be late availability. That should be the app that let's you use your own data plan. Since it's an app, it should become available at a later date. The Connect system itself provides too many functions not to be available at launch.

Unless I'm Wrong

Thanks!

One more question for those familiar with ordering option packages: If I'm ordering an Overland, which comes standard with Quadra-Lift & Selec-Terrain, but add the Off-Road Adventure II package, is it "pro-rated" to be cheaper than if I was ordering a Limited which doesn't have QL & ST as standard equipment?

That is my hope, just an app that will be available at a later time and won't affect orders/builds. I would love some clarification of that thought though

Would make sense in regards to the copper...

I was just irritated when I read the press-release where they were referring to the brown as some sort of "Grand Canyon"-color. I haven't been there for quite a while but they appeared to me a bit lighter/reddisher back then..

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Yes that picture is of the "Jeep Brown"... there is also pictures of the "Indigo Blue/Brown w/ white piping". There are yet to be any pictures of the black or the light frost beige. There is also no pictures of the Laredo, any exterior overland, or any interior limited pictures.

If these models are at the show tomorrow, Scott will post pictures. Milous also speculated that Jeep may release some additional photos in the coming days.

But for now, the pictures you see are:

SRT - Redline w/ black interior
Summit - Cherry Red w/ Jeep Brown Interior
Limited - Exterior Shots Only (Blue -- true blue or max steel, not sure)
Overland - Interior Shots Only (Indigo Blue/Jeep Brown)

So for those asking for specific shots -- this is all we have for the time being, no other pictures will magically appear as we all wish

I thought the app for controlling functions (such as starting, opening doors, flashing lights and blowing the horn) from a smart phone is what will be late availability.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Reading through the pdf, the usb ports in the rear are only for charging devices.
