I'm sure Marlon, Chevy or Milous can answer this more definitively.
That's what I was thinking but didn't see it listed in the features comparison...Maybe they just missed it and left it off the features list by mistake but I am sure the experts on here can set us straight.

If this is max steel than the color on the other photos was also max steel.

First thought after I saw this photo: "Scott is petting baby dragon couple of hours after it was born. "

The EGR valves on these slowly destroy your swirl flaps in the intake manifold and the actual valve itself becomes clogged with soot at around 50K miles.

Also, the diesel particulate filters are embarassing when they kick into the "regeneration" process. This process happens every few hundred miles and the car begins to idle high, making weird noises and expelling soot from the exhaust.

You are advised to wait and let the process finish, which can take up to 15 mins.

I have had the pleasure of driving to get some groceries quickly and the regeneration kicked in...leaving me in the car just waiting for it to finish.

Diesel is awesome, but the emissions BS like EGR and DPF's ruin them.

Look forward to replacing the intake manifold swirl flaps and EGR valves around 50-60K miles if not under warrenty.
AGREED!

Not a fan of Diesel for the very reasons you mentioned.

Yes, you get a lot of torque, and sure, great gas mileage but at the cost the above mentioned list. Not to mention finding gas stations with diesel can be difficult depending where you are on your trip.

Diesel's dirty little secret

I've also had the pleasure of replacing an intake manifold and EGR valve due to soot backing up in both...out of warranty in a 2007 1.9 liter engine. Never again will I get wallet raped like that.

leveling = up and down
adaptive = left and right (i.e. adapts to corners)

You can also read this in the press release when they describe adaptive but it has been said many pages back.

Its great in that sense. Just annoying thinking that every second, soot is settling on your intake manifold and slowly destroying it.

And the anxiety of never knowing when the DPF regeneration will kick in.

I guess its just not for me, I'm too meticulous about my engines these days.

I'm driving a DPF car since 5 years and never noticed the regeneration, that's is actually not an issue.

What happened to "stop and go" on the adaptive cruise control? The press release doesn't mention it.
