Milous-

Since Limited, Overland and Summit now have dual exhaust on both V6 and V8's, is there a way to distinguish which engine other than lifting the hood?

Anyway, he told me '14 FULL PRODUCTION could begin as early as late Thursday night. There's a last minute push on '13s, but he said if they get the numbers they're looking for, then Thursday night it is. Otherwise production is scheduled to begin Friday morning (just a few hours later) at 8:30am.. My shift Fridays starts at 6am, and afternoons leaves at 4:30am from the Thursday shift, so we're not talking abt much in terms of the cutoff for '13s they want.. If it does end up being Friday morning, we'll probably sit the first 2.5hrs over here to put a gap in the system, then it's balls-to-the-wall baby!.. I'll let you guys know which it is when I find out if we're gonna make the Thursday cutoff or not.. Heck I may even come in Thursday just to see!
Hi Chevyboy, thanks for the heads-up.. do you know if there are 2014 Diesels for export starting up production? I know Diesels for Nth America don't start till March or something but if not it would mean no diesel production for around 2 months which seems mad given demand.

Milous, Chevy, Scott
Jeep is making a BIG MISTAKE by not offering Saddle or Sepia for the interior of the Overland and Summit!!! These are Signature Jeep Colors!!! Other Manufactures have copied Jeep and are putting them in their lineup. Jeep has made a MAJOR BLUNDER by eliminating them in the Overland & Summit !!! BAD MOVE !!! These colors are not for everyone, but they have a large following. I put off buying a 2013 just knowing Saddle would be offered especially since they had expanded to Black Saddle. Can't backup to a 13 with all the new advances. I was ready to pull the trigger on a 50K Summit but now am backing off to see if anything happens. Only got 30k Miles on my Lincoln so I not pressured only Sad!!

Not sure if we will see enhanced incentives but we are discounting the heck out of ours.

We are doing invoice less all dealer holdback less any incentives you qualify for.
Not sure what supply looks like on a national level but with the dealer trade calls coming from all over the country I have to assume its getting pretty low so I really don't see huge rebates in the future.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

So, I haven't seen anyone ask an obvious question. Will the 4x4 in the 2014s actually work in sand or will they bog down and revert to "Service 4 Wheel Drive" unless it's in 4 Low?

That Indigo interior looks pretty sweet! Just gotta see the Maximum Steel and Blue. Definitely might be upgrading my 2011 Laredo X later in the year.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Just something to think about guys;

Manufacturers NEVER, and I mean NEVER offer EVERYTHING at initial launch ON PURPOSE!!! The interior choices, or lack thereof in some of you guys' opinion IS by design.

*Another Chevyboy guarantee* There WILL BE more options later. I've hinted at this. Milous has given examples of things that'll be "late availability," and by the end of MY '14, you guys will see the progression.

It costs them nothing to add seating color options now, and the other stuff, but then what else would there be to do for the following 18months with this model? Put on your marketing hats for a min and think like a salesman. What's the best way to keep the buzz going in such a long model year?.. Your answers may differ from theirs, but when you're paid to strategize BEYOND TODAY, you tend to hold a lil back!

I'm sorry some of you are disappointed, but I assure you, this band is gonna play in Texas, and the fiddle is still in the case!

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Hey Chevy,

Maybe you can shed light on the "Late Availability" of the RA4 bits?

I assume the main system is in there, but the Mobile functionality is not?

Or is it something completely different (and appologies if this has been already answered)?

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

@Temerarius; beats the hell otta me! Anybody seen Milous!???

@DaddyOBest; Just hang in there man.. There's more coming.. Again, this is gonna be a loooooong MY, and the upper management that made the cut once Sergio came in gun-slingin', actually know wtf they're doing.

As you said, there's a reason other manufacturers are beginning to copy us. We now have a viable dog in ALL the fights! *cough* Truck of the Year!??? Already!???

That new Vette... front end looks familiar.

The list goes on... I'm not implying that Chrysler is the new sheriff in town, but what I will say is things are looking up. And to be copied is to be complimented. But again, sit tight.. You'll get exactly what you want.. Soon.

If that is pacific blue in the pic that's a sweet color, but from what I've seen of pacific blue in the past it's been more lighter, almost pastel blue than anything.
Bingo...max steel looks black/gray 99% of time....pacific blue is very bright...the old Dodge Neon had this color option and you saw it everywhere.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Thanks Chevy, my only issue is my Expedition is on its last legs and needs to be turned into a plow truck or permanently retired after this winter, so am planning on a new vehicle this spring and didn't want to wait for the limited edition models to come out over the next year, but I may stretch it out instead of putting cash down tomorrow.

Then again, I may buy one now and trade it when a model comes out that I flip over, although that isn't the most financially savvy move... But I got to keep you guys employed! Thanks for all the info you have provided, invaluable.
