The Overland went up $2000 MSRP. Just compare the prices at Jeep.com, they have all the MSRPs listed for every model and option.

Fair enough, although I'm not the type who buys a new car every few years...I'm not sure how anyone justifies that financially... I will own it to at least 60,000 miles. And I will be paying cash, so no NPV applies.

Like Marlon said, sometimes you just gotta ignore the details and get what you "want". I have been waiting and following the 2014/CRD details FOREVER, and if I were to change my mind and get the HEMI, I would throw up the second I pulled up next to a CRD.

No way. That assumes beating the 4x2 highway MPG and using up the entire 24 point something gallon tank. Most people will fill up with 2 to 5 gallons remaining. That means they'll be using 19 to 22 gallons per fill up and will probably get mid 20s with a 4x4 in real life mixed driving. That will translate to about 500-550 miles a tank mixed driving and 600-650 highway. Not bad, but I'm not buying 750 a tank under real world conditions. That's marketing fairy dust.

After Paying the additional $2,300 for the diesel over the HEMI and taking into consideration what a gallon of diesel costs, I probably couldn't afford filling it up 100%..

LOL...ok. Just passing on what was told. We'll see I guess since neither of us has DRIVEN this Jeep I will take their word. they were being general anyway....30 mpg's x 25 gallons is 750. technically its correct if their 30 mpg's is correct.

The way most of you are so overly concerned about gas consumption, me thinks you should get a Corolla or the like. As they say when you buy a boat, if you have to worry about the gas, don't buy it. Same goes for the JGCherokee. hahaah just sayin ! It's all good ... chill out ....

Uhh... yeah... it will.

Set your cruise at 60 and I assure you, a diesel will smoke the EPA Highway Estimate.

I bet the 4x2 will do 800 of pure highway (if you don't drive like a nutter).
