Correct Denny...only thing is the Lux package is only on the CRD at the moment in the US...hopefully this changes.

Problem is you can not get 2014 limited plus $3000 Lux II option on the regular (v6 and V8) gas powered 2014 Limiteds for now. You can get the Lux II option with Diesel only. Hopefully this will change in the future.

Are the Heated Seats in the Laredo All weather package, leather or cloth?

So is there hope for all the flipper-lovers out there?

Apart from this, I'm afraid the aftermarket LED bulb vendors will still have some business coming their way from '14 owners: the break/turn and backup tail lights are incandescent...
Weird, as Scott said they were all LED. Disappointing that they're not all LED (esp. the brake lights) but I'll wait until I see how the implementation looks in real life before I judge.

Maybe the non-SRTs have LED brake lights but the SRTs don't? Another possibility is the manual is incorrect. It's not out of the question, as the press release appears to have been partially incorrect about a thing or two.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Ignorant question, as I am not informed, but what does the "S" stand for on the shifter, "D/S"?

I think it stands for sport... You probably nudge the shifter to the right to go into sport mode

I believe that stands for "Sport Mode". Previously Sport Mode was selectable with the Selec-Terrain dial.

Interestingly the Standard Equipment PDF shows that "Sport Mode" is only standard on the SRT, so I wonder if it'll be found on any of the other trims included as an option, say with Selec-Terrain perhaps. Or the PDF is wrong.

I may be wrong about the LEDs because the manual shows both the "regular" bulb references and the "Premium" which mention LED, all mixed up in the same table. But for the rear turn/brake and backup lights I didn't find a mention of LED anywhere.

For the flipper glass I quoted it because it doesn't give much room for interpretation.

But I am sure the base for this document was the '13 manual, which was edited to reflect the '14 changes, and it is more than possible we didn't see the final version. So it may well mean absolutely nothing... but we didn't get to 8'000+ posts talking only about what is 100% certain. It wouldn't be fun...

And sport mode is still automatic, with higher shift points? Or is it paddle shift driven?

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

The manual shown (First Edition) is most likely being compiled from the 2013 version. You will probably find other things that actually refer to a prior model year. Hopefully by the time the vehicles are delivered, the second or third edition will be correct.

At least online versions are easy to correct.
