No. Summit, like here, will be its own model in other countries as well. I think you'll see more uniformity in this regard, much easier for building/parts inventory/marketing purposes etc.

More than confident . The plant has built, and is currently testing, quite a few RHD pre-production Summit models already, for Australia and most of the other RHD countries.

thanks.. I am seeing the dealer tomorrow.. looks like the order will be changing but I suspect there will be no code to order the Summit as it was not previously sold here
.. this will be fun now I have absolutely no idea how much I will be spending!! but still cheaper than Range Rover Sport i guess..

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

The chance of Australian dealerships not jumping at the opportunity to add another premium to customers seems highly unlikely. I wouldn't be surprised if Dealers tried to pass off Summit CRDs for closer to $83K considering that most have been listing their RRPs for the current Overland CRDs at $78K. This would be a big mistake for Jeep AUS i reckon, considering that one of the key things that have made it successful here and awarded so well was it's competitive pricing against competition. The right thing to do would be to lower the starting price of the Overland considering that spec wise it will have been stripped down compared to the MY13 and pricing the Summit with a small premium over the price of current Overlands

Thanks for re-checking, Scott. V-Leds will take care of this eventually...

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Thanks Milous,

Would you have any idea when Australia would be getting it's shipment of 2014 models for us to have a look at? When will Australian dealers be getting some stock?

Will they be shipping them at the same time as in the USA?

Thanks.

Hi Mate, I have one on order and have been told it will be built in March and be delivered in July to give you some idea. Hopefully this improves as there is a huge delay between factory and my driveway.

Thanks Milous, does that mean we'll be able to properly order a summit in Aus and get a corresponding VON/VIN for tracking. Or are we still at a stage of no choice but to trust the dealers word and hope for the best.

Yes there is a fair bit of pain for us Aussies coming up as it's like dangling a bit of candy in front of us but knowing we can't touch it until the middle of the year which is a little frustrating!

Hopefully it will be sweeter by then!
