You might be right. But I just watched that video again and hit 'pause' when the camera is zooming on the tire size, and I'm pretty sure I saw (for the first time) the mineral gray inserts. Try that and tell me wath you think.

I kinda thought just the opposite but was wondering. Plus with the strong overhead lighting it's hard to say.

Yes, they had the mineral gray on them. That is the one I want... Max Steel with Indigo interior... but with the CRD and ORAII.

What does the D/S on the shifter mean? Sport mode? Do you have to put it in that gear in order to use the paddle shifters?

Drive/Sport Mode. I think you can use the paddle shifters anytime.

I looked into it, the S is for sport mode. Summed up, it changes the shift points to higher RPM's.

It also makes a difference in the use of the paddles. In D, you can use the paddles to up or down shift. But, at certain engine speeds it will still shift automatically. In S mode, it will automatically downshift if you slow down, but up shifting is based only on driver input through the paddles.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Hi, I just wanted to say Thanks to all of those with so much great info on this site. I found it several months ago and its been a lot of help as I usually plan my next vehicle a year ahead of time so I know exactly what I want. Definately a 2014, just not decided on the Overland or SRT yet. I want to have it delivered in May (Canada). If I was to order it at the end of February do you think that will be about the right timeframe?

I will also be getting a membership to track it. Thanks again.
