I think the onstar packages you have listed there are both more in depth than what the uconnect app does I think it will be more along the viper smart start setup. The nav is separate already and speculation is that the apps will use a tether to a Bluetooth linked phone...here is the info on their pricing

I suspect we will see them start arriving in May/June.
Milous will know when the MY14 export diesels start production in 1-2 weeks from now he said.

Then the '14s will be painted, and will be held up, maintaining a gap in the system, until all the '13s proceed thru the first trim line in Assembly.. And so on..

As you all can see, the system holds A LOT of cars in storage banks throughout the plant.. We haven't "built" a '13 WK since 8:24am yesterday.. I watched the last one go bye bye, then the line stopped.. Over 24hrs later, and 2 shift changes, and they're still "assembling" '13s.. That's a lot of cars!!! But again, '14 production begun yesterday, and thats what we've been building all day.. (With some '13 WDs mixed in.)
Before I ran away for lunch... heh...

I forgot to mention to you one thing...

Tuesday is going to be VERY interesting. I sense a slow running ASSEMBLY (not body) line, possibly an early dismissal, and other issues. We couldn't even finish out the '13s without problems with getting parts in. That's why I was able to run around the plant without worry. If I had a paint suit, I'd have run around there too. We didn't start back up until 12PM..ish after being down all that time. (We ran out of starter motors)

Trim isn't anywhere NEAR ready to run.
Chassis and Final should be SOMEWHAT good.

They called in MORE than a few A crewers and the TLs... needless to say thanks to our TERRIBLE run today, there was no purpose of doing so.

According to what I've HEARD, in about an hour or so, 2014s JUST MIGHT start rolling down the ASSEMBLY line.

I'm aware of the system and how many it can hold on the entire line, from body to ship. It's a lot.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

BTW: The issue between Me, Milous and Chevyboy...

See, we all work at different phases of build.

So when one might say "WE'RE BUILDING 2014s!!!"... they might not have gotten to *me*, yet... or when Milous might say the same thing, he may have known of V1 builds that I just didn't see yet, or I might see ______________, that Chevyboy or Milous may NOT have seen....

You guys get where I'm going with this?

BTW: The *entire* assembly line, according to our computers (Yes we all have computers, but mine is old, screw you CB711... hehe ) has held as many as 2100+ vehicles at one time. That is the most I have seen, not sure of its REAL capacity.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Any of you guys seen the black interior of the 2014 Overland? If so, what did you think of the new brown wood in it? What color is the stitching on the dash? What color is the edge of the seats?

Just PARTS SHORTAGES, not QUALITY issues. Nothing to be scared of. It happens all the time.

BTW: There is a reason why they call ASSEMBLY "The Jungle".

What I mean by "TERRIBLE"... is production count. We didn't get anywhere near or over 602 for 10 hours.

At least "B" crew, who is in there now, has an excuse... a gigantic line gap for 2014 preparation. We STARTED the prep while I was there earlier today. They have to FINISH prep.

Actually that's not bad. If Chrysler will have similar pricing I would probably jump on it.
