By "built" I meant from start to finish.. And I'm 100% certain that no '13 of any trim ENTERED the system after 8:24am..

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Long time lurker, first time poster. Comments from a sexagenarian who loves Jeeps. You guys are all worked up about the looks of the new GC, how about the tranny or 4wd system - not as important? Diesel - not worth the money and fuss unless you're going to keep it for 20 years with high mileage. IMHO, the best looker is the Laredo with the "E" package, all weather and trailer tow. No chromed fish mouth.
Colors -forest green, true blue, and max steel (c'mon guys this colors been around since the 2012 model year- calm down) all look black from 10 feet away except under movie lights.
NOW MY QUESTION-- why can't I buy a 6 cyl with QD; is there an engineering reason or is it all marketing?
Great informative site; keep up the good work!

Phew, good. So long as trim is ready to run and the parts shortages don't last a long time.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Spent the afternoon checking out the dealerships
1) 2013 colors in person, great to compare side by side in the sunshine
2) Checked out the RAM 1500 UCONNECT 8.4A at the Dodge Dealer
3) Toyota 4Runner test drive just for some comparison

You can surf the web all you want but nothing like hands on the real deal.

Was sold on granite, but the Max Steel really impresses in person
UCONNECT was fun to play with, no iPhone, but the best I've seen so far for an in car system
4Runner was better than I expected on the drive but the interior is a distant 2nd to the JGC

Still waiting to see what shakes out with the Limited and LUX package; the Overland is just too high end for me but I really like some of the things in the LUX package like the sunroof, 8.4A and HID lights. CRD would be awesome, but gotta keep it under $40k

Ditto!

The non-LED headlights on the Laredo and Limited pictures look weird. They don't look like the lights on the MY11-13 GC. Anyone care to chime in on that?

That's because they aren't.

... or anywhere near the size or shape.

PERSONALLY, I like it better this way than '11-'13.

Ok, I see, when I first read your post I read it as end of line rather than earlier on. Interesting that almost 100% of the final 2013 SRT builds have been export models. Only a couple U.S. models built since Xmas break.

So I'm NOT crazy. I don't think I have noticed a single US SRT in a few days!

I've also noticed MORE than a few "non black" interiors built today. Couldn't believe it!
