It might be the same, but in the front of the UG it says that it may contain information from prior years, and that information should be ignored. I think somebody mentioned that the UG also refers to the flipper glass.

The 2014 Owner's Manual is already on its second edition.

I suggest a careful look before anyone starts pulling things apart.

I don't like black but really like the metallic look of the Max Steel. I thought the Granite would be too close to silver, but seems darker. Anyway it all comes down to preference and feeling so I'd say trust your gut.

Since you asked for advice... If you're going to have more than 1 kid, I'd get a mini-van
Keep in mind Granite and Billet are brand new colors for 2014.... they were not on the 11-13's.... the old colors would be Mineral Grey and Bright Silver... so if you were thinking you saw Granite on Jeeps driving down the road, that wasn't granite... it was probably mineral grey. Granite is ALOT darker... billet would probably be the closest to Mineral Gray, but slightly lighter.

Mineral Grey was my favorite as well and I wish they would have kept the color. Granite to me is too dark and Billet is too light.

The colors are currently on some other dodge/chrysler vehicles, just google for pictures.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Regarding Granite, some of the late 2013s for other Chrysler models had it. I saw a 300 on the lot today with it, plus it had the lt beige interior. Actually looked good. See attached for that pic of the 300.

Also, here is a Challenger in the color. Granite Crystal does NOT look like the color on the 2014 Jeep GC official website...that almost looks copperish, which this is not.

Curious what folks think of the granite with lt beige... I'm still leaning towards Mag Steel, but man the granite looks good.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Sorry if this has been asked, does anyone know if remote start will work with the CRD?

Thanks for pointing that out, I did like the mineral gray more than the darker MaxSteel or the lighter bright silver. Will have to go by a Chrysler dealership to check out the "real" granite.

Maybe best to ask that one in the diesel powered or export forum but if its like an aftermarket system the answer is yes you can remote start a diesel.

Can the display show what gear you are in on these new 8 speeds?

I am pretty sure if you can order remote start (all weather group includes it) it will work. But asking the question in the export forum will most likely get you a positive answer since they have had the diesel for quite some time.

If you do visit and see the colors, let me know your thoughts, I'm in the same boat. I think granite is going to end up being much too dark.. but everyone says Billet isn't too far off from Mineral Grey. Just find a dealer that sells Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep and tell them to see any vehicle in Granite or Billet.

Haven't seen it in real life but that looked good in the photo. Does the granite have any undertones in the color? Just hoping it doesn't have a brown tinge to it, otherwise my color choice will be definitely be black.
