The granite is really hot. IMO, the perfect color on the Summit. I'm still not 100% sure if I should go with black or brown interior.

BTW, does anybody know if the lower painted fender on the Summit is granite as well? I can't imagine they used a different color but who knows..

I think the Summit black exterior with the brown interior would look as classy in-person as in the pics. Black on black always works (unless your Other prefers light colored interiors).

I'd love for the Adaptive bi-xenons to be an option on any trim level (as least limited and up). We have them on our VW (a Golf!), and they really pay off on curvy roads and in neighborhood driving.

Just find a dealer that sells Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep and tell them to see any vehicle in Granite or Billet.
When I looked at them, Billet is between MG and Silver. Billet seems closer to silver IMO. Granite is between MG and the Charcoal from 2011, closer to Charcoal IMO.

I didn't see any undertones in Granite. It has some metallic to it and had a much darker look than MG.

As many have already said, go to your dealer and look at them. Both colors should be available on a decent sized lot (albeit not on a GC). If you can find a sunny day and a cloudy day - you will get a good idea of what you prefer.

Thanks that helps alot.... its just too bad they moved away from the nice mineral gray. I wasnt a fan of the charcoal or silver so chances are I wont like the billet or the granite. Might have to settle for Max Steel.

A good sized lot should have these colors. I know the new Billet is being used on the 2013 Wranglers and Granite is on the Challenger and the 300. As for settling for max Steel, Well I didn't settle :-).
Its a great color with the way it changes with the light and you see the multicolored metallic in it. Its a very unique, complex and awesome color. Your friends will be going "is that black, wait its blue no no its charcoal with metallic lol". It doesnt show dust or dirt as bad as black and its a little harder to tell when its dirty. I may not notice whether if its real dirty or not because I wash my car once a week regardless so.. anyway thought I'd give you some insight!

I believe it shows the gear only when you use the paddle shifters. That's the way I understand it from the owner's manual, although I haven't read all 600+ pages yet. It also works that way on my current vehicle.

Yeah, confirmed Page 112 of User Guide.

And there is this from the owners manual, not sure what it means though.

Im doing the CRD Summit black/brown.. brown for the neat contrast-- and the exclusivity of the brown option to summit =)

Went in wanting Max Steel on the Summit, but Jeep made up my mind for me Ordered Granite with Black under the hope that the lower panel will be the same color and it will flow much better. Went with black because I didn't care for the copper accent trim. I went to the dealer to check out a 300 in Granite and was pleasantly surprised how dark it was compared to the extremely light interpretation of the color on the configurator on the Jeep website. Unfortunatley, like most metallic colors, it doesn't photograph particularly well. Also hoping it will help soak up some of the chrome too. The only thing I'm worried about are the Summit wheels, I'm still not feeling them. When I look at them it just looks like a mess of polished spokes, no clear design relative to the other options. Honeslty, they'll probably look better dirty.

I'll give those 20" wheels a try and in case they turn out too shiny, I'll order an extra set of the 18" wheels which are optional on the Summit.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

How "good" is the nav on the uconnect? debating whether to get the RA3 or RA4... incremental $400 is a lot for NAV, and IMHO rarely do I find such navigation nearly as good as my iphone with google maps. I'm debating if vital for resell.

On the plus side, I thought I had read that this is garmin nav, and CAN BE updated through uconnect, so maps won't go stale and crusty and functionality can be improved over time.
