I'm jealous...the Summit will be beyond what I want to pay, but would go for that in a flash if I thought I could get it past the family auditor.

On the plus side, I thought I had read that this is garmin nav, and CAN BE updated through uconnect, so maps won't go stale and crusty and functionality can be improved over time.

Group?
The RA4 will have better nav than the RA3 from what Milous has stated. To get the nav activated on the RA3, your looking at about $400-$500 to have it done. The navigation can be updated, but there is a fee involved according the wk2jeeps.com has stated.

Here is some helpful detail on the uconnect system, specifically for the 2014:
Uconnect® | Find the right Uconnect system for your Jeep® Vehicle

HD radio, sirius traffic, and sirius travel link all included in the RA4 (beyond the garmin nav).

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Hello,

I was told today that the JGC Nav (US Model) won't be able to be used in Germany. Can anyone confirm or provide a work-around?

Thanks,

Steve

Once you ad NAV to the RA3 it doesn't become a RA4?

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

It is still a RA3 with nav then, Milous has stated this before. The RA4 already has the nav and it is better than what is on the RA3. Look at the differences between the RA3/RA4.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I just asked my dealer about the differences. He said the updated RA3 does not have the 911 or road service call buttons.

The 911/Roadside buttons are on the rearview mirror.

Are you saying that a saleman might not know what he was talking about?
