This has been extensively discussed...there is no lift-gate/flipper-glass in the MY2014 JGC. That feature is gone.

Wasn't talking about that... Was talking about the button itself to lock/unlock the gate. It was in the chrome piece they removed.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Does anyone know if the adaptive headlamps that are on the Summit and SRT will be available as a standalone option on the vehicles with the HIDs?

My dealer wasn't able to give me much feedback since he doesn't seem to know the difference between auto-leveling and adaptive. Thanks to this forum, I do! I tried to explain it simply in this manner: "Auto-leveling means your headlights can tell you 'yes,' and adaptive means your headlights can tell you 'no'." It apparently didn't stick.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I "think" all HID's are adaptive and auto leveling

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Thanks, Scott - I think that's what my dealer was getting at, but Milous' information on the first post says:

What's New - exterior

- Adaptive headlamps (Summit and SRT)

Thoughts/Clarifications?

Thanks!

It has been said all HID's are leveling, but not adaptive.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

The 2014 online brochure shows the adaptive on the Summit as an upgrade from the Overland.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

While we're on the subject of headlights;

For Laredo and Liimted the headlights are the same, "old school" style? They look the same but any differences ????

For Limited w LUX (Changing the package label to SNO), Overland and Summit you get the "New" headlights with LED lights...and described a couple posts earlier may or may not be adaptive?

I'm focussing on the "old school" lights, just want to know if there are any differences?
