Check out what an outfit like Enterprise or a local rental place will do for you for a month-to-month rental/lease so you can drive in the manner to which you have been accustomed, instead of in a gocart...

I leased a car once, in '98. When my next car, which I was buying, was delayed I contacted the lease company. They let me continue the lease on a month to month. When the new car came in the lease company prorated the last, partial, month.

Funny you should say that. Most of our fleet is leased through Enterprise. They are actually handling the order of this new 2014 one.

They did give me a price on a monthly rental but I hate to have to spend that when we have a perfectly good vehicle (albeit it a tin can ) in the office. Im going to suck it up til the end of February and then revisit if I see these delays are going to REALLY long.

They let me extend it for 2 months. When I called to extend it for one more they told me that the only way they would do that was if I was ordering a new vehicle from the same dealership or another Lincoln. (I was driving an MDX).

Your salesman can build one on dealer connect however. The last one to become available was the SRT and with the exception of the deep cherry and the special leather you can build it.

UPDATE: Just got word that 2013s are rolling down the line again. Looks like the 2014s have been pushed back 2 months.

... j/k.

Milous, Do you have any info on the optional leather for the SRT? I see that it is shown in some of the option sheets as "different leather" for both black and Sepia. I have also seen late availability on those options. I have ordered what is currently available in black but there will be a while where I could still change as I understand it.
