I hope these buttons also self hide. Every picture I could find shows a cluttered screen, with one exception. There is a picture of the back up camera view which is full screen.

I do live in a very flat area which must have something to do with it. And, when I trailered a boat I did use it at the ramps.

Is it something that really needs a lot of attention? I have no idea, but would like to hear others opinions.

I remember when that topic came up. I remember asking an electronic parking brake and I got a very good reason as to why they did not choose to use an EPB.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

A few post back someone said they ordered the Overland because it has the most "handsome and rugged exterior among all the models:. I think the Limited definitely has the more rugged and aggressive exterior (aside from the sporty aggressiveness on the SRT) , you can tell its built for off-roading. I know the black plastic trim puts some people off, but in real perspective its less paint chips and dings. I think the Overland has a couple of real nice interior choices. I just think it looks kind of aftermarket with painted trim moldings. Maybe it will grow on me. If I decide to buy a 14' It will be a Limited with the Lux2. Of course I'll buy the Overland grill (because of the way the honeycomb matches on the lower fascia and grill), and maybe the technology group. Just a personal preference.

I do when I'm parking on any type of hill that has a decent grade to it, mainly to avoid the transmission clunking when putting it into gear. But this is not something i do on a regular basis.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I use the parking brake when loading/unloading my 4 wheeler on the trailer in my driveway and when we go on trips. Other than those times, I don't think I've use it.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Why a capless fuel filler? I can't imagine it is because too many people are losing their caps. I don't even think it is a cost thing, since they now have to provide you with a funnel, I think for adding gas from a can.

Is it somehow related to emissions?

I use my e-brake daily in my Subaru. But it's a manual

I rarely use it in the WK, except on a relative's steep driveway and occasionally as a steering aid

I don't know, but we have emissions testing out here in WA, and several times I've been forced to replace the filler cap. I sure hope hope I don't have to replace capless fillers, since that doesn't sound nearly as easy. :-)
