I think this is my favorite post you have ever put on this forum

Hey, don't get me wrong, I'm not anti-union, I'm just anti-UAW. I've never been a member of any other union, so I try not to judge their practices, good or bad. My girl's mother is a 30yr member of a teacher's union, and things are different for them. It's a shame the way public employees get treated up here, so in their case, the union isn't only beneficial, it's necessary.

But I know firsthand that the UAW is a crock. And all the stories my grandpa and other ppl old as bill_de told me as a youngster about how great the UAW is, are nothing more than memories. Cause the narrative has definitely changed.

I could go on and on, but then it'd just spill over into politics, then ppl would start taking sides, and the thread would get divided and derailed.. But, I will say that if our congress were anything like this forum, then maybe our country wouldn't be in the shape that it is. I'm certain that some of you are Limbaugh and Hannity conservatives, while others are Rachel Maddow and Ed Schultz liberals, and a great many of us are somewhere in between.. But we all manage to get along, and hold (mostly) constructive and informative conversations about a common interest.. If only they could do the same.

given the talk turned to "state of the nation" go and tell you management to get building some export Jeeps ( for us Aussies ) and then you bring more $$ into the country and solve all the problems ! ( well some )

I suspect most UAW members have figured out the truth about their union management than any have imagined ... of course you are right to work state now so you have options.

.... and in response to your signature, you are most welcome for my purchase. I am actually pleased to know I will have Detroit JGC coming my way and look forward and appreciate knowing you will be there building me a quality vehicle! This is what makes our country great.

Last time I saw snow in Kentucky, I was driving a semi across the WK in a white out, trying to get back to Franklin.. It wasn't much snow, but that thing is so freakin dark, even a little snow made it impossible to see. Definitely made me appreciate the well lit interstates of the north, that much more..

Note: Im sure Scott knows this, but for those that may not know, the "WK" is a parkway in western Kentucky. Hence the name.. I wasn't driving a semi across a Jeep.

A couple years ago they widened it, and it's now referred to as the "WK2 parkway".

OH BTW we have 7 inches of snow in Charleston (that's a lot for this area), its 18degrees here... I'm going to leave early for work and go playing in the snow, if you know what I mean!
