There has been some talk that CRD release dates may be after the petrol engined units, which I hope is a) not correct, and b) if correct, does not include export (Aus) markets. Keen as mustard for a 2014 CRD, and really don't want to wait any longer than absolutely necessary.

I know my lease ends in April. and i know it will be pushing it but, im going to order one very soon, and i can not wait like people are waiting for the SRT8. to be buggered around like that will be hard to deal with. i was wanting to find out the colours and go order one. and just wait.

Yeah geokep, the hurry up and wait. If the CRD's going to be released quite a bit later than the petrol engines, I'll look at other CRDs again.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Yea, it looks like CRDs will come a tad bit later. I haven't seen any 2014 CRD pilots yet. That doesn't mean there haven't been any built, but the rarity of the builds (if indeed there are any) hints to them coming closer toward the end of the quarter, and not at initial launch.

Rear DVD will be optional. The screens are in the seatbacks, mounting them in the headrests would interfere with the active head restraints.

Fingers crossed, as I'd really like a 2014 JGK CRD. If the production start date is still in the first quater, I may be able to wait that long; do you know whether those dates are firming (especially for export)?
Cheers

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

CRDs will definitely be in production before the end of Q1.. I've heard that on the floor myself. Now knowing when they will be available to the export markets is above my pay grade. But I'd assume it'd be soon after, bc most CRDs are exported. Milous should have you guys some exact dates here pretty soon..

Will detailed pictures be available prior to order banks opening or will the public not get access to those until the actual sales launch begins?

in the seatbacks? interesting. hopefully they find a happy medium between screen size/quality and option price.

Is it a similar setup to what the Mercedes SUV's use, since the active headrests in the JGC are virtually the same as the Mercedes ones.
