Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

It's very striking but you'd have to love it for a long time. I'm glad it wasn't a choice on the summit or I'd have been debating myself.

LOL Every time I see that indigo interior I get all warm and fuzzy Sno. I need to stay off of here so I don't see pics of it. I'm pretty sure my mind is made up on what I'm going to do. :-)

Its very different, as I haven't seen it in person yet but the pics alone make me swoon.

I would bet that if the dealer you were working with gets one in and you go see it you will be like "So lets get this deal down so I can take it home right now!" But be happy with what you have as you planned on doing those upgrades, might want to hold off on those until you truly see the interior of your dreams...hehe

If I trade its going to be a Max Steel like my current GC. Its a very unique color and if I do trade it will be Max Steel with Indigo/Brown interior.

I am holding off until I see it person then I will make my decision. My salesman said they have one ordered for the show room and is going to call me when it comes in and then I will go from there.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Somebody educate me on the batter. Is it an expensive under-the-seat as was mentioned? I expected to hear more about that. Local dealer offers a lifetime replacement of battery and tires with free oil changes (at NO charge). The battery alone might be worth it.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

From other info I've gleaned on this site, the battery is located below the passenger seat and is non-serviceable. (It's AGM, or Absorbed Glass Mat, type; meaning it's sealed and has no vent caps, thus you never have to check it or add water.) This is the same type battery as an Optima, and Sears also makes a Die Hard in this type. Should last 4-6 years and cost around $150.00-$200.00 to replace.

It should be only 2 1/2 years 'til the sixteens are out.

I ordered it because it looked nice and is unique. I hope to still like it once I get it, because it doesn't seem like it's going to be unique for too long. By this time next year I may have trouble picking out my car in a parking lot.

Unfortunately, unless you have a color-corrected monitor and are viewing a photo that was created on a color-corrected monitor, you really can't judge colors online. And those posted interior photos were not anything close to what you'd likely see up close and personal. (My monitor is color corrected) What might appear with a slight golden hue could be a (common) white balance issue with the shots, especially when they are taken with a phone-cam in weird light...

We don't need a picture. It does have a gold hue (Limited interior), it's typed out as so plainly in the 2014 Grand Cherokee document from Jeep.
